  • Today, we’re proud to shine the spotlight on Nidia Carreno, our dedicated After School Program Site Director at P.S. 226 in the Bronx! 🌟 Originally from Ecuador, Nidia embraces the values of family and education, holding dear the belief that "Education is the best legacy parents can leave their children" (La Educación es la mejor herencia que los padres les podemos dejar a nuestros hijos). Nidia was the first in her family to come to the U.S., with a dream of learning English and becoming a professional here in NYC. Nidia has been with CHCF for an amazing 10 years! Starting as a part-time administrative assistant, Nidia is now directing the afterschool program at P.S. 226. Nidia is such a shining light for all of us at CHCF, a beacon of kindness , and a beloved pillar of our CHCF familia in the Bronx.
