About us
CCAD is the industry leader of depot-level repair and overhaul for helicopters, engines and components for the joint warfighter. As the largest industrial employer in South Texas, we have a local estimated economic impact of nearly $2 billion. We not only restore airframes, engines, and components to like-new condition, we also deploy field teams around the globe to extend expert helicopter support anywhere it's needed when it's needed. CCAD is home to some of the best helicopter maintenance training for military personnel in aeronautical depot maintenance for assignments worldwide and prepares aircraft for overseas shipment. Additionally, the depot is responsible for distribution of overhauled items and for maintaining a mobilization base capable of rapid expansion in the event of a national emergency. From sheet metal mechanics to environmental specialists, nearly 5000 civilian employees and contractors comprise the CCAD team. The depot employs a wide range of expertise with veterans making up nearly half of the workforce. The depot’s highly-skilled artisans make the organization an asset to Army aviation and the joint warfighter. CCAD has a critical mission to maintain the Department of Defense's aviation fleet for the next several decades. Our team ensure our nation's warfighters have the best helicopter support for any mission.

The Corpus Christi Army Depot was honored to have Ms. Marion Whicker, Executive Deputy to the Commanding General of the Army Materiel Commander, and Major General Lori Robinson, Commander of the Aviation and Missile Command, at the official groundbreaking ceremony of the Aviation Multipurpose Production Facility (AMPF) this week. Congressman Michael Cloud and Corpus Christi Mayor Paulette Guajardo were among local dignitaries and guests attending in support of the continuing progress of the U.S. Army’s phased 15-year modernization plan of its organic industrial base (OIB). Colonel Kevin Consedine, Commander of the Depot, described the ceremony as the culmination of an effort with deep rooted values in military service from a community that understands the role of the Depot in the OIB and the National Defense Strategy. Major General Robinson emphasized that the construction continuing the modernization of the aviation repair capabilities will also sustain the needs of the future of Army aviation and noted that such projects take many dedicated leaders over many years to drive them to completion. Ms. Whicker stressed the importance of the OIB and its critical importance to our National Defense through its essential support in order to retain a decisive edge over our adversaries. Following the groundbreaking ceremony, Colonel Consedine escorted Ms. Whicker on a tour of the Depot’s facilities, featuring the Dynamic Components Repair Facility (DCRF) Phases 1-3, the High Velocity Training Continuum, engine and component production lines and blade repair. #AmericasAviationDepot #OIB #CCArmyDepot #WeKeepTheArmyFlying #WeAreCCAD #ArmyRotaryAviation #AMCOM #AMC
