The DRE Project was born out of love. Created by Jennifer JJ Jackson as a tribute to her sister Dre, we deliver home-cooked meals and groceries to families who need them. Our aim is not only to provide aid but also to bring hope -- just like Dre would have wanted. #TheDREProject #GiveBack

We need some urgent help at The DRE Project! We need friendly faces to help us out as volunteer drivers. Our task is simple but meaningful -- delivering meals and groceries. We'd love to have you if you can spare an hour at noon on Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays to help us stock our pantry. You get to stock the pantry with our partners @humbledesigndetroit and distribute to families from our partners @newdayfoundation, @kidskickingcancer, @eastersealsmorc, @saydetroit, and @communityhousingnetwork. Today we packed for 25 families! Our families each receive 60 lbs of dry food essentials and a home cooked meal delivered to their door. I’m happy to report we’re on track to 600 families and served 200 the first 4 months. Jump in with us today, people helping people can make a difference! 💜💜💜🐞🐞🐞

And that’s how The DRE Project was born. ⁣ ⁣ Jennifer is an example to all of us that we can all do something to make a difference in the world. Jennifer’s dream job as a kid was to work with her dad’s pizza business (Hungry Howies) and while she achieved that and still works there to this day, she wanted to do more and help others – which started out as buying meals for others and now has turned into this incredible nonprofit mission.
