    Spotlight on The Eric Liddell Community The Eric Liddell Community is an Edinburgh care charity and community hub founded in 1980, in memory of the inspirational Olympic gold medallist, Eric Liddell. The Eric Liddell Community is passionate about providing key services to people living with dementia and their carers across Edinburgh, while bringing the local community together in our Community Hub in Morningside. As part of The Eric Liddell Awards, which will be hosted at George Watson's College (venue, sponsor and charity partner), The Eric Liddell Community will be awarding 16 Eric Liddell Recognition Awards to members of the community that have shown the values of passion, compassion and integrity. The charity is extremely excited to announce the winners of The Eric Liddell Recognition Awards and their nominees to go to the Eric Liddell Awards on November the 1st. #EricLiddellAwards #EricLiddell100 #EricLiddellCommunity

    Spotlight on Scottish Rugby Scottish Rugby is the governing body for rugby union in Scotland from the national teams to local club teams. Everyone involved in Scottish Rugby works hard to grow the game of rugby union from a grassroots level to improve the overall product of the sport right up to international level for men's, women's and youth teams. As another of the orginisations working with The Eric Liddell 100, Scottish Rugby will be awarding 30 'Eric Liddell Recognition Awards' to people across the country who show the values of passion, compassion and integrity. One of the winners will also be nominated to be awarded at The Eric Liddell Awards hosted at George Watson's College in November.     Spotlight on Scottish Disability Sport Scottish Disability Sport (SDS) is the Scottish governing and co-coordinating body of all sports for people of all ages and abilities with a physical, sensory or learning disability. From Shetland to Dumfries, and everywhere in between, SDS's staff, athletes, members and volunteers are always working hard to to widen the range of available sports options for individuals of all levels of ability with a disability in Scotland. As another of the orginisations working with The Eric Liddell 100, Scottish Disability Sport will award 14 'Eric Liddell Recognition Awards' at this year's AGM. The award winners will also have the opportunity to be nominated for our Eric Liddell Awards at George Wastson's College in November.     Spotlight on YouthLink Scotland YouthLink Scotland advocates for the youth sector across Scotland with the aim of providing all young people with access to high-quality youth work. This year YouthLink is working with The Eric Liddell 100 to award 20 ‘Eric Liddell Recognition Awards’ to celebrate some of the outstanding young people who have made an incredible contribution to their community through their involvement in youth work in Scotland.  The award winners will also have the opportunity to be nominated for our Eric Liddell Awards at George Watson's College in November.     Spotlight on Scottish Athletics. Scottish Athletics incorporates almost 150 athletics clubs across Scotland. It offers opportunities for people of all ages to try out and embrace athletics at all levels, from jogging clubs to Olympic and Commonwealth Games training. Scottish Athletics is awarding 20 outstanding individuals with a unique Eric Liddell 100 pin badge and signed Scotland Joma vest. As one of our incredible partners taking part in the Eric Liddell Awards, the group's award winners will also have the opportunity to be nominated for our main awards event taking place on the 1st of November. Scottish Athletics will be awarding individuals based on the core values of the Eric Liddell 100 which are passion, compassion and integrity.     The Eric Liddell 100 is delighted to have local pupils Seb and Max Jellema as the faces of The Flying Scots Challenge, raising money towards The Eric Liddell 100's Olympic Year Appeal. Seb and Max, ages 12 and 9, have both committed to running at least 3km every day since the beginning of 2023 and 2024, respectively. This incredible challenge and the funds that Seb and Max are raising perfectly embody the values that Eric Liddell lived his life by of Passion, Compassion and Integrity. We would also like to thank everyone who has signed up for The Flying Scots Challenge so far in whatever way that you are taking part.     Today marks the final day that The Eric Liddell Exhibition (Eric Liddell: Legacy of an Olympic Legend) will be live in the main hall of the Scottish Parliament, after over a month of being on display. Everyone at The Eric Liddell 100 would like to thank anybody who attended the exhibition whilst it was live.
