While we likely won’t have full election results tonight or evening by tomorrow morning, one thing that is clear is today’s election will have a big impact on the policies that shape agriculture. The issues in play – from trade and infrastructure to energy and sustainability – affect not only the fertilizer industry, but also growers and everyone who depends on a strong, stable food supply chain. I had the opportunity to sit down with TFI’s SVP of Government Affairs Tom Lynch last week to talk about not just the potential impacts of various election scenarios, but also how we as an industry can be prepared to thrive in any policy environment, regardless of the outcome. TFI looks forward to remaining fully engaged with policymakers, ensuring fertilizer’s voice continues to be heard.
Join The Fertilizer Institute's President & CEO Corey Rosenbusch and Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Tom Lynch as they discuss how next week's election results could impact agriculture, sustainability initiatives, and the global fertilizer market. #GetOutTheVote #GrowTheVote https://lnkd.in/eEFcZsSk

IFDC was created 5️⃣0️⃣ years ago this month! In November of 1974, nearly 500 million people globally did not have enough food in a quantity to meet their daily needs. In response to this growing issue, U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger proposed to the United Nations General Assembly an international effort for improved agricultural production in developing countries, emphasizing enhanced access to and proper use of advanced fertilizer technologies. IFDC was created to fulfill this mission. This central mission continues to this day through global collaboration, advanced research, and committed staff helping smallholder farmers worldwide.
