For example, we tested two separate Meta ads for a premium luggage company—one full product shot, the other a close-up of the product. The result?     Reading a 1-star review can be tough for any brand. Though receiving complaints is never fun, it's important not to let them derail your business. Here's how: • Show empathy. According to a study by the International Customer Management Institute (ICMI), 68% of customers leave because they perceive that a business does not care about them. In your tone and language, demonstrate that you genuinely value their input. • Respond promptly. Research from HubSpot suggests that 90% of customers rate an immediate response as important or very important when they have a customer service question. This means responding within 10 minutes or less. • Resolve effectively. Customers who feel their complaints are handled well are more likely to remain loyal and even become advocates for the brand.
