"You must never be fearful about what you're doing when it is right."—Rosa Parks Through her notable act of defiance by refusing to relinquish her bus seat in Montgomery, Alabama, American civil rights activist Rosa Parks, played a pivotal role in catalyzing some of the most consequential civil rights legislation in American history. Despite her attempts to downplay her contribution to the civil rights movement, her dignified and peaceful advocacy elevated her to a revered position within the civil rights movements. Here at Guiding Star we envision a future where NO woman fears getting pregnant. To make this dream a reality, it will take a village. Your support will help us expand to Birth Centers and ensure that every woman knows she will have access to the care and support she needs no matter her circumstances. 💝 DONATE TODAY 👇 https://lnkd.in/g-9cxMRd #rosaparks #womenshistorymonth #removethefear #nowomanshouldeverfearpregnancy #cycletracking #supportwomen #careforwomen #womenshealthmatters

In honor of International Woman's day and Women's History Month what a better way than to recognize our CEO and Founder of Guiding Star Project. The vision of Guiding Star was conceived in 2007 by founder Leah A. Jacobson from the conviction that women of all ages deserve better than the current standard provided by mainstream healthcare. Working with college students as a campus minister, Leah had a unique view of our culture. She saw young men and women being formed, learning professions, exploring their new-found independence, and growing into the adults that would soon be influencing every aspect of culture in our country. She also saw a need. The Guiding Star Project help women protect their fertility and identities as mothers through our sisterhood of life-affirming medical centers and provided actual reproductive healthcare that honors the natural female body. @Wholisticfeminism is also a speaker, author of Wholistic Feminism, IBCLC, and also recently accepted a new position at the Nesti Center for Faith & Culture - University of St. Thomas as the Program Manager for an exciting new graduate certificate in Sexuality and Gender! We are so grateful for Leah's unwavering passion to the mission of Guiding Star and making authentic life-affirming healthcare accessible to all women. We look forward to growing and spreading the mission of Guiding Star together as we expand access into birth centers! Link arms with us and help make authentic women's healthcare accessible to all. She established schools, orphanages, and institutions worldwide, making 23 trans-Atlantic crossings. Canonized in 1946, she is known for her service to mankind and is the Patroness of Immigrants. The Missionary Sisters continue her work globally.
