Today, we pause to recognize Women’s Equality Day and pay tribute to the women activists who rocked the boat and changed the world forever by helping to pass the Nineteenth Amendment giving women the right to vote.  At the Guitar Center Company, we want to acknowledge the women who changed the soundtrack of equality and celebrate the powerful voices of female musicians who have not only enriched our lives with their art, but also paved the way for women's equality. From the soulful melodies of Billie Holiday to the rebellious rock of Joan Jett, these women broke barriers, challenged norms, and inspired generations. Let’s honor and learn from these trailblazers. Here's to the women who used their talents to break down walls and build a future where all voices are heard equally. #LifeAtGCC

At the Guitar Center Company, we work hard and play hard – and not only musical instruments. Recently, our Distribution Centers in California and Indiana held summertime celebrations for Associates, providing time for these teams to connect with each other outside of the regular workday.     In Rialto, CA – it was a special day to commemorate their 8th Anniversary with a delicious BBQ.     Associates from our Distribution Center in Brownsburg, Indiana and their families were treated to a night of fun at a local entertainment center with laser tag mini golf, food and more! A good time was had by all.    Check out the fun moments that were captured at these celebrations!  #LifeAtGCC 

Please join us in congratulating David Minjares on his promotion to Vice President of Merchandise Planning & Allocation! Since joining Guitar Center in September 2018 as Director of Merchandise Planning, his strategic inventory planning has been instrumental in driving sales excellence while maintaining low overall inventory risk, setting a strong foundation for our success this year.    In his new role, David will build on his impressive track record, taking on the responsibility for strategically leading and directing our inventory management initiatives across various categories. “I can’t wait to set the tech team up for success,” says David, “we have big opportunities to make positive changes that will enable each member of the team to increase ownership of their business.” Congratulations, David! #LifeatGCC 

We are excited to welcome Aaron Moore, our new district manager for our Mid-Atlantic region! Aaron has a successful track record of designing sales strategies and development programs that result in revenue growth for companies like PepsiCo, Express Stores/Verge Mobile, and, most recently, the consulting firm HCH Enterprise as the Director of Sales and Marketing. Last week, two separate events in collaboration with Gibson, Inc. took place in different markets. On Tuesday, July 23, fans gathered at our Hollywood location for a Gibson Meet & Greet with YUNGBLUD, celebrating the launch of his highly anticipated Signature Epiphone SG Jr. Model. Meanwhile, on Thursday in Nashville, Tennessee, Marcus King, partnered with Guitar Center and Gibson to showcase his electric guitars with powerful performances of his classics. All Carmen wanted for her 12th birthday was an electric guitar. She wrote her wish into a letter and sent it to her neighborhood #GuitarCenter in Roseville, CA. The Associates at the Roseville store were jazzed to make her wish come true and so much more. They threw Carmen a surprise birthday party, complete with decorations, cake, and of course, music!     Oh, and don’t forget the topping on the cake, Guitar Center gave Carmen a pink Mitchell MD200 double-cutaway electric guitar.    Happy birthday – and happy playing – to Carmen!  #LifeAtGCC

Today, we celebrate Bruce Drummond as he marks his 38th Anniversary with Guitar Center and was promoted to District Manager of the 14 stores in the North Texas region!    Bruce is a proven leader and dedicated to building up his teams and shaping store culture.
