Welcome Steve Reyes! In August, Steve joined us as the Managing Director of Hauser's Financial & Professional Risk team. With over 32 years of expertise in complex insurance products like Cyber and D&O Liability, he brings a strong background in private equity and M&A from his time at WTW. Steve is well-equipped to drive innovation and client success, valuing teamwork and curiosity. We are pleased to have him on board. Welcome, Steve! What was your previous role before HAUSER? My 32-year career in the insurance industry includes being on the carrier side for 9 years and the brokerage side for 23 years. I was at WTW for the past 20 years with responsibilities for the Financial & Professional Risk teams in the Midwest and West geographies. My work with private, not-for-profit and public companies provided me great insight into how these companies operate differently and how their risks need to be mitigated. What was it about the opportunity at HAUSER that interested you the most? The idea of working inside a smaller organization and being a part of the private equity world was very interesting to me. I am always eager to learn something new and believe HAUSER provides me the opportunity to use my experience to support the successful team here as well as give me a path to learn and develop my own skills. What lessons from your career can you share with our readers that have helped shape your career in the insurance space? Be curious! I have told this to interns, recent college grads, fellow brokers and my own family when we talk about being success. If I didn’t ask “why” and seek out my own answers, I may not have found the past 32 years exciting and fulfilling. What core values are most important to you in the workplace? Everyone on the Team is critical. No one person is more important than the others. We all have a part in this process and if one of us contributes less than what is needed, failure is likely. To be successful, a Team needs to move as one by working toward the same goals and objectives. What do you like to do outside of work? I am lucky to have three children (18, 22, 25 y/o) and three stepchildren. My favorite thing to do outside of work is to travel. We are always looking for a retirement spot, so we bring as many of our children with us to explore and find an island, a beach and blue water to keep us all happy. Work/Life balance is important for everyone. #EmployeeSpotlight #Welcome #Team #Hauser #BusinessDevelopment #PrivateEquity #EmployeeExperience

Welcome to Michael Burdell! Michael joined us in August as HAUSER's Director of Business Development. He brings extensive sales and marketing experience from a Private Equity-backed risk management firm, where he developed a go-to-market strategy. At Hauser, Michael will focus on new client acquisition through strategic initiatives and enhance HR operations and employee experience. Welcome aboard, Michael! 1. What was your previous role before HAUSER? I owned and operated Arizona Night Golf – a company that worked with Arizona-based executive golf courses to provide LED sports lighting systems so people could play golf at night. Prior to my entrepreneurial venture, I was the VP of Sales for TEAM Risk Management Strategies, a PE-owned company that provides insurance and employment services for clients’ household staff. 2. What was it about the opportunity at HAUSER that interested you the most? The role itself is very exciting, as it enables me to strategically drive growth and pioneer the business development team, which I’ve loved doing throughout my career. Hauser’s unique private-equity focus is a great differentiator in the market. The positive interactions I had with everyone on the team during the interview process reenforced that Hauser would be a great place to work. 3. What lessons from your career can you share with our readers that have helped shape your career in the insurance space? Growth requires a company-wide effort. Without the support of the Corporate Risk, Human Capital, and Retirement Plan Solutions teams, Business Development wouldn’t have such a compelling story to share with prospects and an enthusiastic client base to reference. 4. What core values are most important to you in the workplace? Integrity, Accountability, and Growth. Always do the right thing, follow through with your commitments, and have a growth mentality. 5. What do you like to do outside of work? I have a wonderful wife, Grier, and two young boys, Jack (5), and Clark (2). We love to travel (my five-year-old has already visited 20 states). I coach Jack’s baseball team and play softball, golf, and guitar. #EmployeeSpotlight #Welcome #Team #Hauser #BusinessDevelopment #PrivateEquity #EmployeeExperience
