  • This year’s BOOST Program for early career professionals at THMA has been a remarkable success. Participants have gained invaluable skills, expanded their networks, and accelerated their career growth. One of our participants, Sydney Williams, shared her experience: "The most valuable aspect of the BOOST program for me is the safe space it provides to share my past and present job experiences and make connections with others like me at THMA. BOOST has given me the confidence to stand up for myself in my work, to understand how to use my working style to my advantage and how to work well with others. The program also gave me an opportunity to be transparent with my managers about what I am feeling and issues that bother me in my personal and professional life. Not only has the program made a difference in my professional life, but it has also made a difference in my personal life. The sessions on self-awareness and emotional regulation at work were game changers for me personally, providing tips and tricks on how to navigate situations where my emotions might try to get the best of me." We are incredibly proud of all our BOOST participants for their dedication and commitment throughout this program. We look forward to seeing the impact they will continue to make at THMA.

Take it from Amy Mace Davenport, M.Ed., Director, Healthcare Programs on our Leadership Development Team: "At THMA, feedback is more than just a routine exercise—it's part of our DNA. As a passionate lifelong learner, I thrive in an environment that fosters growth and continuous improvement, and the culture of feedback at THMA is empowering and positive. It operates much like a sports coach offering tips and strategies to ensure you are your absolute best both on and off the “court.” This collaborative approach with colleagues and leadership ensures we all strive for the win—delivering exceptional member experiences. Internally at THMA, numerous channels provide opportunities to both give and receive feedback, allowing us to refine our practices and develop professionally. From our “Cast a Compliment” Microsoft Teams Channel, where team members actively shout out colleagues for a job well done, to our internal Lattice platform, which helps us identify areas for growth and provides guidance on best practices, feedback is a constant driver of our success. Externally, we lean into member feedback to craft exceptional and relevant programming experiences that truly resonate with our community in the healthcare landscape. By actively listening and responding to our members' needs and suggestions, we ensure our programming is impactful, relevant, and engaging. The Academy fosters a culture where feedback is nurtured therefore creating a collaborative environment where we strive to develop and curate programs that make a real difference in the healthcare landscape. Here's to embracing feedback, driving innovation, and celebrating an exceptionally supportive culture at THMA!"
