The Honor Foundation (THF) is a career transition program for U.S. Special Operations Forces that effectively translates their elite military service to the private sector and helps create the next generation of corporate and community leaders. We provide a clear process for professional development and a diverse ecosystem of world class support and technology. Every step is dedicated to preparing these outstanding men and women to continue to realize their maximum potential during and after their service career.

    We're still swimming in pride and inspiration after our 4th Annual Swim for SOF! The event brought together an amazing group of athletes, supporters, sponsors, volunteers, and spectators, who spent the day united in patriotism and enthusiastic support of our Special Operations Forces veterans.     The Honor Foundation is thrilled to welcome Karen Schaefer to the THF Board of Directors! Karen held numerous leadership positions within the Central Intelligence (CIA) during her 26-year career, with positions that included Chief of Operations, Directorate of Science and Technology; Deputy Associate Director of Military Affairs; Deputy Chief of Counterintelligence, Near East Division; Executive Assistant to Deputy Director CIA; and Group Chief, Iran Operations Division. She also served as Director of Intelligence Programs at the National Security Council (NSC), where she managed the President’s covert action programs. She closed out her government career as the Associate Executive Assistant Director (AEAD) of the National Security Branch, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Director’s Senior CIA Representative. Ms. Schaefer served as the Policy Lead for the Biden Transition Team Central Intelligence Review Team in 2020.     The Honor Foundation is excited to welcome Chad Miller to THF Team as the Director of Programs at the Fort Liberty | Fayetteville Campus launching in 2025! Chad retired after 30 years of service with 21 of them in Special Forces. After retirement he served as an advocate for the SOCOM Wounded Care Program.     What an incredible evening with our closest supporters in Austin, TX. The fourth annual THF Austin Benefit dinner presented by SkyFi and SynMax was a remarkable night indeed. A special thank you to VADM Joe Maguire for his speech and insight into the difficulties veterans face with transition. Thank you to THF Alumnus Chris Brown for sharing his personal story and the impact THF’s program has had on his life and military transition.
