Today was the The Jaguar Athenaeum’s first meeting of the 2024-2025 school year! We welcomed back our senior staff to prepare for new recruits and we inducted our new members who were accepted for their applications during the Issue 01 cycle last year. Beyond housekeeping we are already beginning the process of creating Issue 02 of The Jaguar Athenaeum! (Plus a dance party and cookies because duh!)

We are thrilled to introduce Alys Traylor as the new co-president of The Jaguar Athenaeum. Alys was an amazing VP last year and guided our team greatly through Issue 01. With her thoughtful, caring, and fun personality, we are beyond excited that she will be joining us this year again as our co-president. Along with our founder and president Lillian Brumback, Alys will help manage teams, deadlines, and events, as well as learn her own method of leadership and share her brilliant ingenuity. We’re so glad to have you, Alys! 🥳🥳🎉🎉👏👏

𝐈𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞 𝟎𝟏: 𝐒𝐨 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭? 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 is OUT! Featuring a zine style with cut-and-pasted elements done by hand before being scanned in, this issue is ready to go with you everywhere. Our focus was on curating a guidebook about what to do artistically once school is out, and we delivered. For this release we decided to change it up a bit. The digital version won’t be published until we give out, for FREE, the remaining 40+ hard copies. Want your own? Start looking around town to see where they’re hiding… Not in town? Not a problem! The digital version will be available soon. Keep an eye out, and go make some art!
