"The partnership that the Joffrey Ballet has forged with the Golub Capital Board Fellows program at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management University’s Kellogg School of Management continues to be a critical part of strengthening the business side of the organization’s operations.” -The Joffrey Ballet   Since 2019, the Joffrey Ballet has hosted 6 Fellows who have each completed meaningful and lasting projects for the organization. These projects range from impact measurement to program assessments and DEI strategies.   Summarizing the Fellows' impact on the organization, Board Chair Anne Kaplan said, “During my tenure as Board Chair, I have witnessed Joffrey's partnership with the Golub Capital Board Fellows program move our organization forward. Since starting their collaboration five years ago, each Kellogg School of Management MBA candidate has brought abundant knowledge to the Joffrey. We are pleased to announce the addition of four dancers to the Joffrey roster for the 2024-25 season: Tenley Connors, Guillem Cabrera Espinach, Amanda Illuminati, and Scott Reed. The Joffrey Academy of Dance will now be the Grainger Academy of the Joffrey Ballet following a $5 million endowed gift to the school, according to an announcement Thursday. The largest gift in the academy’s history came from the Lake Forest-based Grainger Foundation, a philanthropic organization established by William Wallace Grainger of the industrial supply company W.W. Grainger, Inc. The name change takes effect immediately. “We’re not just finding people who are already top-tier dancers. What a special week in New York City! We opened “The Joffrey + Ballet in the US” exhibition at The New York Public Library For Performing Arts and celebrated our incredible alumni with the Gerald Arpino Foundation at New York City Center, connecting with the key players who contributed to making the Joffrey the company it is today.
