About us
The MACC Fund is a non-profit organization focused on ending childhood cancer and related blood disorders by providing funding for research. Give hope for kids. Help us beat childhood cancer. Support us today. In 1976, the MACC fund was founded by Jon McGlocklin, who wanted to make a difference in the lives of children fighting against cancer and related blood disorders. With advances in medical research, and critical funding, the five-year survival rate of children diagnosed with cancer has risen from 20% to 80% since 1976. Since it’s inception, the MACC Fund has contributed nearly $65 million dollars for childhood cancer and related blood disorder research; and we’re not stopping there! Through a variety of events, donations, and partners, the MACC Fund seeks to end childhood cancer and related blood disorders. If you’re interested in donating or volunteering, please visit our website www.maccfund.org or contact us at 414.955.5830. Thank you for your support, we appreciate you!

A race horse with local ties to Milwaukee has been invited to race in the 2024 Breeders’ Cup World Championships (Juvenile Turf Sprint) on Friday November 1st in California! The horse, Jet Sweep Joe, was bred in Kentucky by Sam Hall’s Hall Stables and races for Halls Stables and Win The Day Racing. Hall, from River Hills, Wisconsin, is a managing partner in the law firm of Crivello, Nichols & Hall S.C. Jet Sweep Joe was born on the same day that his namesake, Joe Trawitzki, passed away from pancreatic cancer at only 44-years-old. Trawitzki introduced Hall to horse racing and they owned horses together, including their very first purchase -- a fractional interest in Belvoir Bay (GB), winner of the 2019 Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint (G1) at Santa Anita. As Trawitzki battled pancreatic cancer for nearly two years, he approached each day with the charge of ”win the day.” In Trawitzki’s memory, Win The Day Racing was formed to offer microshare ownership interests in Jet Sweep Joe in an effort to introduce racing to first-time owners. Since the inception of Hall Stables and Win The Day Racing, they have donated a portion of racing proceeds to the MACC Fund to honor Joe’s legacy, and help fund research for childhood cancer and related blood disorders!
