The most powerful—yet most underrated—leader: The Empathetic Leader. ↳ Understanding others' needs, feelings, and thoughts. ↳ Helping team members exceed their current capabilities. ↳ Leading by example, not just by authority. Some might say, "I don’t have time to ask about an employee's weekend. I don’t want to turn work into a therapy session." That's a valid concern. Yet, investing time to connect with your team could be a wise and strategic choice. When individuals feel understood and appreciated, their productivity increases dramatically. Consider the impact: Stress accounts for a loss of 550 million workdays annually. Imagine the potential savings—in both financial and resources—if you could reduce that number. So, never underestimate the power of leading with kindness and empathy. It's not merely a soft skill relegated to the background; it's essential and profoundly affects your organization’s growth. Only 1 in 4 Employees Feel Connected to Their Company Culture It’s a shocking statistic from Gallup, but not entirely surprising. Many leaders still equate company culture with superficial perks: Pizza parties and happy hours Welcome treats and farewell dinners Casual Fridays and ping pong tournaments Birthday bonuses and team-building activities But here’s the truth: ❌ Company culture isn't about the occasional fun that pulls people away from their desks. ✅ It’s about creating an environment that makes employees look forward to Monday on a Sunday night. Consider a culture where employees: Feel involved and share core values Understand the organization's purpose and direction Are supported and energized by their teams See real opportunities for personal and professional growth And how do you foster this? → Being intentional about engagement → Trusting your team to lead projects → Emphasizing transparency across all levels → Maintaining flexibility in work arrangements These should be continuous efforts, not just occasional gestures. P.S. What steps are you taking to connect with your team? Comment below.

Which costs more, hiring a contractor or a full-time employee? No one likes the answer: it depends. (when in fact, it does) However, to make the right decision, consider these factors in your evaluation: 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬  Are you looking for staff for a short-term or long-term position? Is this position central to your business objectives or merely supplementary? Are the tasks specialized, project-specific, or ongoing and fundamental to your operations? 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞  Do you require someone immediately for a short-term need, or can you afford the time it takes to recruit and onboard a full-time employee? 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐭  Many companies make the mistake of considering only the position's salary in the budget, without accounting for other hidden costs. 1) Recruitment cost: Advertise fee Cost of time (salary) of HR and manager supporting recruitment rounds Hiring a new employee can cost 3x to 5x their salary. 60% of these are soft costs, including managerial support for recruitment rounds. 2) Onboarding and personnel training costs 3) Risk costs of the wrong fit After listing down the above elements, you will know which option is most optimal for your company. If the position is short-term and tasks are urgent, especially if you need a production role, hiring a contractor can be most optimal. → They bring experience in solving similar problems, which can save you time on training. → With the right skills, they can start immediately. Additionally, if you partner with a staffing agency, you can save even more money by skipping the long hiring process. I attached below a reference photo for you to do the math. If you're considering hiring, feel free to DM us. We are a staffing agency specializing in the light industrial staffing sector. We're recognized as one of the: ✔️ Largest staffing firms in the U.S. by Staffing Industry Analysts, ✔️ Best Staffing Firms to Work For by the Birmingham Business Journal, ✔️ Best Place to Work by the Nashville Business Journal. #staffingsolutions #staffingservices #workforcedevelopment #recruitment

People frequently change jobs, yet this does not mean employee loyalty is dead. Rather, the concept of loyalty is evolving. Old views of loyalty were often: > Long-term employment > Following rules > Handling mundane tasks These outdated views contributed to toxic work environments for years. Today, as employees seek more than just a paycheck, their perception of what makes a workplace desirable has shifted dramatically. You can't simply: > Build a company > Offer salaries > Expect hard work and gratitude for compensation Instead, real loyalty must be cultivated through: > Active involvement in employee development > Solutions-oriented support > Recognition of individual achievements > Creating a positive, inclusive, and psychologically safe work culture The more a company values its employees, the more its employees will value the company—and the likelier they are to stay. So, if you are seeing a high turnover rate, reevaluate your current policy first. ___ For more valuable content, follow me, Shane Minor. Click the 🔔 button to stay updated on my latest posts.

All generations are dealing with workplace burnout—not just Gen Z. They are simply the first to openly discuss it. After years in the recruitment industry, we've observed burnout across all ages and professions. A McKinsey report indicates that one in four workers experiences burnout, with 75% feeling workplace stress. Plus, the COVID-19 lockdowns, layoffs, and ongoing economic inflation, which have escalated living costs, have led to unprecedented uncertainty for workers. People are now seeking multiple income sources to secure financial stability. The trade-off is increased burnout. This is especially true for Gen Z and Millennials, who form the backbone of the labor force. Check the attached file for detailed insights into employee burnout. Much like cakes burnt to a crisp from excessive heat, workers' mental health is scorched by the pressure. So, what's the solution? → A more flexible work shift. That's why Onin launched oninflex.com. For our Teammates, we allow them to choose their own schedule, receive Ōnin's generous benefits package, and collect next-day pay. On the client side, we customize our approach to fit each unique operational model, managing scheduling, coordination, and payroll seamlessly. Through these measures, our Teammates remain happy and stay with us for a long time. If you want a flexible staffing solution to reduce your employee burnout, DM us. We're recognized as one of the:  > Largest staffing firms in the U.S. by Staffing Industry Analysts,  > Best Staffing Firms to Work For by the Birmingham Business Journal > Best Place to Work by the Nashville Business Journal. #staffingsolutions #staffingservices #manufacturing #workforcedevelopment
