We’re beyond excited to be the first company in the state of Virginia to utilize Volvo VNR electric trucks in their trucking fleet. The Patton Logistics Group purchased five of the trucks in total from Volvo Trucks North America. The Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce held an official ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate this milestone. The Volvo VNR electric trucks are part of our plan to significantly expand our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint and promote sustainability throughout our organization. Watsontown Trucking Company Goes Electric! ⚡🚛 Today marks a historic milestone as Watsontown Trucking Company officially puts its first electric fleet on the road in Central Pennsylvania! With the support of a $1.8 million Driving PA Forward grant, we’ve introduced: ✅ Two AutoCar electric jockey trucks ✅ Three Volvo VNR electric trucks ✅ Two Gilbarco fast-charging stations As one of the first carriers in Northeast PA to operate electric trucks, we are proud to lead the way in sustainable transportation. 🚛 A Day of Learning & Fun at Watsontown Trucking! 🚛 We had an incredible time hosting Mrs. Tracy Smith & Mrs. Melinda Temple’s students from the CSIU classroom at Shikellamy Middle School for a special field trip! The students got to explore our trucks, help with a tire change, and even climb into the cab. The biggest highlights? Honking the horn and operating the crane! 🚚🔧 A huge thank you to Shikellamy Middle School for bringing these amazing students to visit us, and a special shoutout to Mike and Michael from our shop for leading the tour and making this such a fun and engaging experience! Exciting News from The Patton Logistics Group! We’re thrilled to announce the groundbreaking of a new pasta manufacturing facility at Great Stream Commons near Allenwood, in partnership with Il Pastaio! This $12.5 million investment will create at least 74 full-time jobs by 2026, boosting our local economy. Governor Shapiro highlighted Pennsylvania’s commitment to being open for business, and Il Pastaio will bring authentic Italian craftsmanship to our community.
