A design for every season: Throwback to this unbe-leaf-able panel finish located in Dallas, TX. This wall was part of I-30 improvements at Sylvan Avenue in the early 2000's, and now has a sound wall and light poles anchored to the traffic barrier. #BuildBetterTogether #Throwback

About us
The Reinforced Earth Company USA (RECo USA) is a civil engineering design company and supplier of materials for retaining walls, arches, sound walls, and related structures. We are recognized as the inventor of modern Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) retaining walls, patented under the name Reinforced Earth®. Operating as a separate entity in the United States since 1971, we are affiliated with the global group Terre Armée. Our portfolio of engineered solutions has expanded to include several variations of permanent and temporary MSE retaining walls, precast modular retaining walls, arch bridges and tunnels, sound walls, traffic barriers, and other structures designed uniquely for many applications. In 2018 we proudly added T-WALL®, the proven retaining wall system that has been a staple in the highway and railway construction industries for decades. We are engineers, manufacturers, construction managers, and team players.

A great application of Reinforced Earth® from Terre Armee: The Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant has unveiled a major upgrade to its tsunami defense. Hirose Hokyodo, a Terre Armée licensee, played a key role by designing and supplying a 75,000 ft² Reinforced Earth wall. The new 53-foot tall seawall, completed for TEPCO (Tokyo Electric Power Company), will significantly reduce the risk of damage from future tsunamis triggered by earthquakes in the Japan Trench. Hirose’s expertise with the Reinforced Earth MSE wall system was instrumental in delivering a safe and efficient solution for this critical infrastructure project, through technical assistance on-site and supplying the materials.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the loss of Frank Fordham, our beloved Southeast Division Engineering Manager, who passed away on September 5, 2024. Frank was a cornerstone of The Reinforced Earth Company, with over 30 years of dedicated service. Nearly every project in the Southeast Division for the better part of those decades has been touched by Frank's expertise, passion, and commitment. Around the office, Frank was known for his wit, endless supply of dad jokes, and his cheerful presence that never failed to lift spirits. Beyond his professional achievements, Frank was a dear friend, a mentor, and someone who lived with passion - from shooting sporting clays to arrowhead hunting to sharing stories over his favorite bourbon. His absence leaves a deep void, but his legacy will forever remain a part of us. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of working alongside him. Rest in peace, Frank. You will be deeply missed.
