Doing The Most Good
About us
The Salvation Army is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Our message is based on the Bible, our ministry is motivated by the love of God, and our mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ as we meet human needs in His name without discrimination. Every program we offer is rooted in our passion to serve God by serving the lost, the vulnerable, the needy, the poor, the hurting, the helpless, and the hopeless. Material and spiritual support is our standard - social services delivered with compassion is our model - anyone in need is our prerequisite. Eighty-two cents of every dollar we raise supports our various programs. We are a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization, and contributions are deductible for Federal Income Tax Purposes to the extent permitted under Section 170(b)(2) for corporations.

If you've been watching the news and want to help the victims of Hurricane Helene, but can't afford to make a donation, please consider PRAYING. Prayers cost nothing. You can go to God, day or night, from any location, and ask him to give comfort to those who are struggling with tremendous loss and uncertainty.

The Salvation Army needs YOU! Please join us and Gray Media to provide hope and healing to all of the people impacted by Hurricane Helene. Your donation means more than a hot meal, place to rest, or a clean up kit. It's a safety net for those whose lives are forever changed. When the shock of what just happened wears off, The Salvation Army will remain in place to help with the next steps. Your financial gift is a way of reminding people that they are not alone. https://lnkd.in/dZXeFAU

The Salvation Army is responding to Hurricane Helene which has caused historic damage across the southeastern United States. Our mobile feeding units, working in cooperation with Southern Baptist Disaster Relief field kitchens, are providing food and drinks, emotional and spiritual care, and emergency relief supplies to rescue workers and survivors. To date, we have: - Served 24,535 hot meals - Distributed 365 meal kits, - Handed out 16,037 drinks - Handed out 20,373 snacks - Provided emotional and spiritual care to 636 people - Given 43,008 hours of service But the need continues! If YOU or YOUR employer can make a financial contribution, it would go a long way in providing comfort and hope to so many who are struggling right now. helpsalvationarmy.org
