South Florida's only public, college-preparatory boarding school

About us

Founded in 2014, the SEED School of Miami is a college-preparatory, public boarding school for South Florida students. Our mission is to provide an outstanding educational program that empowers students to be successful both academically and socially, in college and beyond. We serve students in grades 6-12 with entry points in 6th and 9th grade. The SEED School of Miami combines a rigorous and engaging academic curriculum with life skills and enrichment activities to provide students with a thoughtfully balanced learning and living experience. Students and their families commit to an educational program that offers small class sizes, high quality teaching and learning experiences, mentoring, community service, and extracurricular activities such as sports and arts. SEED Miami is centered around its character values: compassion, integrity, self-discipline, respect, responsibility and gratitude. The SEED School staff are in partnership with parents, families, and communities to guide and support student success. The school follows a typical academic school year calendar.

Senior Wealth Advisor, Director | I help millennial physicians, entrepreneurs, and medical professionals make your vision of wealth and financial peace a reality | Game Changers - Youth Financial Education Advocate

A few weeks ago, I had the honor to present 2 scholarships to two wonderful scholars of the 2024 graduating senior class of The SEED School of Miami. I’ve been able to spend valuable time with these talented young adults and their entire class to provide them with some valuable #financialliteracy concepts and wisdom. I want to thank Sebastian Singh, Berry Pierre, Ramon O. Looby, and Latrice Thomas for their contributions of time and their resources. I’m appreciative to Dakota Wealth Management for supporting my idea of providing financial literacy education to students as it is a critical skill set in life that is seldomly provided.

Absolutely thrilled to celebrate the Class of 2024 at The SEED School of Miami ! Yesterday, our 4th graduating class joined the esteemed ranks of our SEED Network alumni. This marks the third group I've had the privilege of guiding through their graduation and college application journey, but this particular cohort is especially significant for me as an educator over the past seven years. Here’s why this milestone is so special: 1. This group was the very first set of students I was assigned when I transitioned from full-time church ministry to the ministry of education seven years ago. 2. I've been with them every step of the way, from being their resident advisor and life skills counselor to serving as a substitute in their academic spaces, and finally becoming their college counselor in 9th grade. 3. We graduated together! They earned their high school diplomas, and I completed my Master of Divinity in April. 4. They truly excelled with scholarships and college acceptances: over $5.5 million in scholarships earned, over 500 college acceptances to 4-year institutions, and a 100% college acceptance rate!Congratulations to the Class of 2024! Your achievements are a testament to your hard work and resilience. Onward and upward! 🎓 #Graduation #Classof2024 #SEEDNetwork #ProudEducator #Milestones #CollegeBound

  • Last night we celebrated our Class of 2024 by hosting their Senior Dinner at Amara at Paraiso!! It was a night filled with laughter, tears, big emotions, traditions and connectedness!! We are extremely proud of their accomplishments and we are so excited to see what they do next!! Like we told them yesterday - their SEED community will continue supporting them every step of the way and they have what it takes (and more) to make magical things happen! 💜 A huge thank you to Dorothy Terrell, SEED Miami Board Member, for her generosity in sponsoring this wonderful event, and to the venue for doing such a phenomenal job hosting us! #Classof2024 #CollegePrep #SeniorDinner #collegeready
