About us
Since 2006, The Singletons have been devoted to meeting the needs of today by providing strength, hope, and community to single-parent families battling cancer in Arizona. Life doesn't stop with a cancer diagnosis. There are bills to pay, dinners to cook, and pantries to restock with essential supplies. Single-parents navigating cancer while raising their children find themselves in an unimaginable position. Faced with the daily challenges of living with a compromised immune system, the rigors of treatment, and the financial responsibilities of raising a family, many feel isolated and afraid of an unsure future. Costs remain at 100%, yet disability covers 60% at best. This population has not only been under-served but under-recognized. - 66% of Singletons parents are unable to work while undergoing cancer treatment - 70% are fighting stage 4 cancer - 73% of Singletons parents do not receive child support - 75% live below the poverty line In January of 2020, The Singletons purchased a building that will serve as the first of its kind family center for this population. Loving dubbed “The H.U.B.”, this property will provide a safe environment/community for our families. After a year and a half of construction delay, The center officially opened in December of 2021. The H.U.B. will secure the future of The Singletons as an organization by allowing us to support our families in more impactful ways.

Here at The Singletons H.U.B., we are dedicated to supporting single-parent families navigating a cancer diagnosis. Cancer is scary. We aim to surround all our families with the love, dignity, and kindness they deserve. The Singletons Wellness Beyond Cancer Workshops allow families to focus on time spent together, learning healthy, loving, and practical life skills such as growing food in small spaces, cooking classes, financial literacy for youth, and FUN. Check out the Hydroponics project we did in July with our Singletons Kids. It was a hit! #TheSingletons #SingletonsStrong #CommunitySupport

Yesterday, 25 of our incredible employees had the honor of lending a hand at The Singletons, a nonprofit that advocates for single-parent families in their battle against cancer. Employees helped prep meals, packed bare necessities and non-perishable bags, assembled birthday boxes, filled backpacks with back-to-school items, and helped clean the community center. #Volunteer #Arizona #Community
