Kim Miller's Journey with Spinx: A Testimony of Growth and Opportunity In September 2005, Kim Miller began her career with Spinx as a part-time Customer Service Representative on the third shift at one of the company's former stores in Kinston, North Carolina. Despite starting in an entry-level position, Kim quickly rose to the role of Shift Supervisor. Her desire to learn everything about the business and her dedication to personal and professional growth set her apart from the start. Now, she is a Territory Manager. Before joining Spinx, Kim owned a childcare facility and handled office administrative work for Kmart. Her experience gave her a unique perspective on business operations and equipped her with the skills needed to excel at Spinx. Eager to learn more about the business side of things, Kim immersed herself in understanding how Spinx operated. Her hard work paid off, and she eventually earned the position of Assistant General Manager. Her journey didn’t stop there. With the encouragement and support of management leaders, Kim took on the role of General Manager. Her exceptional leadership qualities and understanding of the business led management to select her as a trainer for new General Managers. Kim has remained with Spinx for an incredible 19 years. When asked why she has stayed with the company for so long, she emphasizes the support she has received from Spinx and the way the company takes care of its teammates. According to Kim, Spinx saw potential in her early on and provided her with opportunities to advance to higher positions. She is passionate about recruiting new teammates and stresses the "avalanche of opportunity" available at Spinx for those who are willing to work hard and stay focused. Kim encourages her colleagues not to let anything cloud their vision of what a future with Spinx can offer. She believes the company provides the resources and support needed to overcome any challenges, making it an ideal place to build a long-lasting career. Reflecting on her journey, Kim describes her time at Spinx as "wonderful" and says the company has been instrumental in helping her navigate uphill challenges. She looks forward to what the future holds and is excited to continue growing alongside Spinx.
