It was a big morning here, as not only did the crews celebrate another hot month with an equally hot and homemade breakfast, but it was also time for the 'State of the Wilson' address from the man himself. The long and short of it? We're killing it and only getting better and bigger. Here are some highlights: $1.6 million on advertising over the last 12 months. 22,850 homes visited in the last 12 months. 6,100 HVAC systems serviced. 3,103 drains were cleaned. 190,000 phone calls were generated. That's a lot of AC, drains, and customers. "I'm not exaggerating when I say that we had about five years of growth in 12 months," CEO John Wilson said during the all-hands meeting. What's next? Big things, but you'll just have to wait and see. #BetterCallWilson

How well a technician does in the field is tied to where they’re at in that stage of their career. Do they give good options to the customer? How’s their close rate? Are they hitting KPIs? That’s when our call-by-call system changes. A tech with great KPIs will get less of a leash than one not hitting them. All are part of the education process. That’s also why we train five days a week internally. At one point we only did one day a week. But as you get bigger and get more data you suddenly find you need to be prepared for situations. That can even mean training where we’re asking a tech to provide three hypothetical solutions, and then critique that. See what could be done better. Tell them what was good about it. The weekly training is important, but the call-by-call training that happens while the tech is on-site ends up being the most valuable.
