Courtney Burrow thank you for your leadership and vision for our organization and community! Happy 3rd Birthday!! #zepfcenterstrong #traumainformed #hopebeginshere
Behavioral Health Crisis Services subject matter expert • Program development • I’m a brain builder 🧠
Recently Crisis Care at the Zepf Center celebrated our 3rd year in business and I was able to pull together data to show the numbers behind the work for other departments in our agency. I love the data and the numbers and I am constantly monitoring it and using it for quality improvement, but I don’t think those numbers can adequately tell the story of the past 3 years. Just numbers misses out on the joy in the eyes of the individuals we saw get better with services we offered, the deflections from jail who entered treatment, the calls into the call center that started in tears and ended in laughter and planning, the first steps into a home they had not previously had. There are satisfaction surveys and thank you cards saved that simply say “you saved my life.” Without a further look, you can’t see my staff and how much of their hearts and energy are poured into our community at a constant rate. Clothes and shoes brought from their homes, donations held aside for our familiar faces because we know they need something specific, coats given off their backs, coffee they bought on the way to work; handed off without a sip taken out of it. The data won’t show you how my managers show up when I ask them to come with me into situations that feel too scary, risky or unpredictable to send our staff in so there is no graph of how many times I’ve gotten a message back that says “let me know when you’re ready to go.” The PowerBI dashboards are amazing, but they will not have a table of the times we are all so happy for someone we have helped that we cheer and celebrate, so angry with the system that we want to scream, so empathetic that we sit with someone and cry with them while we try to figure out their next steps. Creating, growing and guiding Crisis Care thus far has truly been the greatest honor of my life. Nothing has been more humbling and inspiring than the individuals being served and the staff providing services day in and day out for the past 3 years. Happy birthday Crisis Care and may there be many more years of growth and service to our community! #zepfcenter #crisiscare #happybirthday #thebest #data #therealstories

Leadership in action! Thank you Allison Huss, Aubrey Price and Megan Poliquin for your commitment to creating hope and recovery! #zepfcenterstrong #traumainformed #hopebeginshere
Wanted to give a shout out to Allison Huss and Aubrey Price for all of the hard work they’ve done this year in the Gambling Treatment Program at Zepf Center! (AKA, I want to brag about my team!) This year, Allison got her LICDC license, her renewable GAMB license, and in April celebrated her 1-year anniversary of being a gambling treatment counselor. This year, Aubrey completed an internship at Zepf Center, graduated with her BSW, and in May decided to join us as a gambling treatment counselor! She has also started her Master’s degree in Social Work and is almost finished with the GAMB stages trainings. Building the gambling treatment workforce is incredibly important to me, and I can’t begin to explain how proud I am of these two, so a LinkedIn post will just have to do. They both jumped in feet-first to the world of gambling treatment, and they are absolutely rocking it. I am learning so much from them. They took a leap of faith and believed me when I said, “you’re really gonna like this job, just trust me!” Yesterday, we sat down together and completed our reporting outcomes for the FY 2024 year. We met or exceeded all of our target outcomes! We talked about our hopes for the program, how we want to keep growing in our profession, and what our goals for the FY 2025 year will be. Stay tuned!

Zepf Center believes in growing our talent from within the organization. We are so proud of your commitment to growth and change Megan Poliquin! Thank you Steven Kapela for coaching Megan! #traumainformed #hopebeginshere #zepfcenterstrong
Look Mom & Dad, I'm on TV! Last week, I made my live TV debut with Steven Kapela on WTOL! Zepf Center was invited to speak about youth gambling, the new and improved Change the Game website, and treatment resources. Was I nervous? Uh.... YEP! Do I feel vulnerable posting this? Uh.... YEP! Counselor Grad School did not prepare me to do live TV interviews... but I'm grateful I have the opportunity to speak on the topic and advocate for our community.
