I entered my first ever Pitch competition and WON the audience choice prize! Yesterday at Michigan Central Station I entered the Pitch Perfect Competition sponsored by Black Ambition and adidas, and produced by ACT House. Over 40 people pitched their ideas and companies to a room full of people, and the people chose my pitch as the one they enjoyed the most. Having other founders believe in you is an amazing feeling. Shoutout to everyone that had the courage to go up there and share their ideas. It is not the easiest thing to do. But you did it! Congrats to all the winners of non-dilutive capital! Proud to share that this weekend the Arbit team took home the 1st Place golden sledgehammer at ACT House's Build Day X! I had the pleasure of working with D. J. Alexander, Jassmine Rabii, Venita S. Cooper, and Vincent Sanders to build an MVP cross-marketplace shopping cart -- look out for the full version soon on Arbit's feature roadmap. It was refreshing to build something with a consumer in mind -- a new experience in my professional journey. We hacked together a prototype using the Python Playwright library, programmatically purchasing multiple goods from sites in the collectible sneakers secondary market -- most of which arbitrarily limit you to one product at checkout. I would highly recommend Build Day X to developers of all levels -- being thrust into the crucible of *making something* to solve a *real problem* is an unparalleled growing experience.
