Lori Smith a DSP at Campbell Hall, was awarded the 'You Help Me Shine' award presented by members of the Tall Timbers self-advocacy group! Lori was recognized because "She creates fun activities for us to engage in, always willing to help wherever needed, assists us with developing our money skills, guides us as we learn to read, teaches us how to do laundry, and so many other goals. She always talks nice to us and makes us smile." Thank you for all you do Lori, your dedication does not go unnoticed!

This summer, Think Ahead students had a great time with hands-on learning and community fun! They visited a farm weekly, where they learned to groom horses and collect eggs from chickens. They also explored history with the archivist at the Poughkeepsie Library, checking out a 1600’s Dutch Bible, and enjoyed a tour of the city’s outdoor art, including a mural of a bald eagle! In the classroom, they worked on problem-solving skills and learned how to handle disputes like pros. What a great summer!
