There are just a few weeks left to register for the next 6 Week Building Resilience & Wellbeing Programme for Parent Carers. There are limited spaces left so please register soon. Here are a few words from one of our last participants: "I joined the Building Resilience and Wellbeing programme after several years of struggling to cope with responsibilities as a parent carer on top of everyday life and work. This programme is different and more effective than any of the other counselling or therapy sessions that I have had because the steps are simple, logical and I know how and why they work. I would definitely recommend the programme to anyone who is juggling the stresses of modern life with caring for a loved one. The theory on how the brain handles stress and the importance of regular but simple self-care practices should be something that everyone learns. After the first session I felt significantly lighter. Throughout the course my self-esteem has improved, I’m happier, feeling much more capable and able to care for my children confidently. I’m even ready to return to work now that I have a toolkit to appropriately and effectively manage my stress levels." Lucy - parent carer. Please message us if you have any questions. This week is Mental Health Awareness Week, and the theme is movement! As supporters of parent carers, we often hear the phrase "I never get a chance to sit down." However, the movement we're highlighting isn't about sitting less—it's about moving more! Regular physical activity is powerful for improving our mental health, enhancing our quality of life, and promoting overall wellbeing. It's also essential for preventing and managing various health conditions, from heart disease to cancer. So, how often do you prioritize a walk just for yourself each week? Are you incorporating regular exercise into your routine? When life feels overwhelming, engaging in physical activity can be incredibly beneficial. It brings us into the present moment, boosts our mood with those feel-good endorphins, and strengthens our bodies. Let's prioritise movement for our mental and physical health - even if it's just a walk once a day! #mentalhealthawarenessweek #caringforcarers #supportingcarers #parentcarers #getmoving #wellbeing #carerswellbeing #parentcarerlife
