Join us in recognizing HKY4Vets - Hickory 4 Vets' Director of Operations, Master Sergeant Adam Sides for 25 years of service. Last week, Co-Founders Nathan Huret and Lindsay Keisler, attended the retirement of Adam Sides, who served in the North Carolina National Guard. We're grateful for Adam's commitment, dedication, and sacrifices. HKY4Vets, a program of The Catawba County Chamber Foundation, assists transitioning military and military families in finding economic opportunities, resources, and making valuable connections in the Hickory Metro region. #catawbachamber #hky4vets #military
🎖️ Honoring Master Sergeant Adam Sides: 25 Years of Service This past week, our team had the distinct privilege of celebrating the retirement of Master Sergeant Adam Sides from the North Carolina National Guard. For 25 years, Adam served our state and nation, navigating deployments, natural disasters, and countless other challenges. Hearing him reflect on his unexpected journey with the Guard—how he never planned to join, the twists and turns along the way, and the people who shaped his path—was truly inspiring. His career was not just about duty; it was about relationships—those who challenged him, supported him, and shared in the journey. Many of these individuals were present, and the mutual respect in the room was palpable. A special moment came when Adam’s family—his wife, Dawn, and their two now-adult daughters—were honored for their unwavering support. As "silent partners" at home, they made their own sacrifices, giving up time with their husband and father so he could serve. Their efforts are equally worthy of recognition, and we were grateful to witness the tribute to them. It was a truly moving ceremony—my first time attending a retirement event—and we are deeply thankful for the invitation to share in it. We’re also grateful that Adam will continue his work with us, staying on as Director of Operations. His leadership and experience are invaluable, and we’re excited for the next chapter together. Here’s to Adam, his family, and everyone who has been part of his incredible journey.
