Detroit has so many historical and beautiful locations. After much thought, I chose the Fox Theatre. It was built in 1928 by Howard Crane, who had built over 250 theaters before then, but deemed the Fox as his best effort. In 1989 it was designated a National Historic Landmark.
The Fox has hosted films, musicians, comedians, orchestras, and plays, At one time it was also a dance hall. Famous entertainers such as The Temptations, The Supremes, Elvis Presley, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Seinfeld, Michael Jackson, Kid Rock, Aretha Franklin, The Count Basie Orchestra, Frank Sinatra, Red Skeleton, Diana Ross, Shirley Temple, Tyler Perry Plays, and many more appeared at the Fox.
When you go to an event at the Fox, you get to see all of Detroit and its surrounding cities come out in style with one goal in mind, to be entertained. And it never disappoints.
The inside of the building is so beautiful. I think it deserves to be added to the Tour of Detroit.
