    Soooooo.... What does the Hive Mind here think about the new "catch up" tab here on the platform.... Not sure I like it.... But not sure I don't like it either.... It feels like the "notifications" tab is now just mentions... I wonder if this is a step toward a more "for you" type of tab.... Thoughts?

    Hello everybody - it's time for our monthly May webinar - and a great way to kick off your long Memorial Day weekend... Yes - it's only been about 8 minutes since we talked about AI... So - yeah - let's get practical about AI... One of the things we've noticed with our clients and the projects we've been doing to help them get ready for AI integration is that the use cases that the TEAM thinks are most valuable are NOT the use cases that management thinks are useful... Why? Because TEAMS are creatively working on net new things that can be done with the technology - and management thinks they're working on ways to simply be more efficient with what they're already doing... We've spent the last 8 months assembling use cases and categorizing them into some interesting things... So - we'll talk about how you can get ready - but more importantly - what we're seeing from a use case perspective and how you can get ready for making sure YOUR use cases are aligned with what management expects.     So, what was the best piece of personalized content you received in the last week? If you’re like three of the ten people I chatted with as part of what I like to call a “walking the dog” survey I did last week while attending a marketing conference, you don’t remember. I asked the question because I struggled to remember too. And when I went back and looked, I found that what I *did* remember, were the bigger personalization #Fails. They ranged from the dumb “Hello [firstname]”, technology blunder – to an even more ridiculous bank email. It not only invited me to apply for their credit card that I already had, but identified me as a “hard-working employee - probably trying to save for that vacation to California”. For those of you who don’t know – I LIVE in Los Angeles. <sigh>          So as I said, when I asked this question at the marketing conference, seven of the ten DID have better memories than me (that's not unusual LOL) and remembered the best they saw. But, in almost every case, the content itself wasn’t some “mad-lib-style” fill in the blank personalization. It was relevant. It was just exceptional content. It was simply.... personal, not necessarily what we think of as "personalized". I'm reminded of this because I’m excited that in a couple of weeks (the week of June 4th) – I’ll be joining my friend Gurdeep Dhillon and the crew at Contentstack at their ContentCon where they’re going to talking about practical personalization in the modern world – and how to *actually* make content more personal. If you’re in the Austin area, or just want to join the gathering – here’s a link to the event. #PersonalizationIsBroken

    Hello everybody! So, my friends at Sanity shared with me a really cool event they are hosting on May 8th. If you’re a content creator, or a marketer in charge of content it’s going to be an awesome event. And, they’re featuring Matthew Luhn – as their keynote speaker. If you don’t know, Matthew is a writer and a story consultant and worked at Pixar, on The Simpson’s TV show, and others. He is someone I’ve seen speak before and is just an awesome speaker on the art of storytelling.    The event itself is also cool – because they’re focusing on content creators (big or small). So – it’ll be particularly relevant for all you who work in CMS systems, pull together sources, insights, stats and all the thing that make your content marketing machine run.    And it’s a virtual event – so you don’t even need to travel.
