The Procurement Girl | Just A Girl Who Loves Jesus, Family, Procurement & Rock n' Roll | I Help Procurement Rockstars Share Their Legacy | GTM Advisor | ProcureTech Brand Ambassador | Community Builder🎸

"There has been some fantastic work delivered by the Procurement team over many months, building supplier relationships, to achieve better service, product, and cost savings, and although it is appreciated, we believe it can be achieved with fewer people." - CFO True story, y'all. Can't imagine why Procurement pros are struggling with burnout 😓. My take - A strong team that knows the market, the industry, and the suppliers, has prioritized strategies to reduce costs and has spent years crafting their art to drive long-term savings won't be cheap to replace if the CFO is wrong. #TheProcurementGirl #ProcurementMeansBusiness Procurement Rocks

“Hard work is table stakes in procurement, everyone does that. To differentiate ourselves, we must either increase growth, improve productivity, or accomplish both at once and effectively communicate those results with our stakeholders. I think we’d all benefit from an education in storytelling, marketing, and crisis communication in addition to all the “standard” aspects of Procurement functional excellence.” - Lawrence Kane In the latest edition of the Procurement Legacy Newsletter, Lawrence discussed why it is crucial for #Procurement pros to sharpen their storytelling skills. As his mentor told him early in his career... “Invisible accomplishments don’t count.” Check out his full story 👉 https://lnkd.in/gwnw8Baf Let us know what you think about these storytelling tips 👇 #TheProcurementGirl #ProcurementMeansBusiness Procurement Rocks

We talk a lot about the importance of relationships in #procurement. How deep and valuable can relationships be if we stay on the shallow end? If we're scared to offend someone how honest can we really be? Y'all, we're living in a highly polarized world. One word. One phrase can offend someone. I'll admit that I have found myself caught in that trap. So in the spirit of transparency and a new year, I am trying something new. When I see a post or hear a comment in a meeting from someone and they mention something that I don't like or agree with I remind myself that the value I get from their content is greater, the relationship is more valuable than the momentary frustration I have with a single post or comment. We need diverse thoughts to move forward. We need to be open to new ideas to build relationships. We won’t be able to create real relationships if we’re scared to speak honestly and without fear of offending someone. The surface stuff only gets you so far. What do y'all think? #TheProcurementGirl Procurement Rocks

How do you know if you’re getting the most out of your procurement and supply chain software? Only 17% of executives say their company’s investments in supply chain technology have fully delivered the expected results. PWC Only 13% achieved return on their software investment goals. Even the most well-funded and resourced companies still struggle with implementing new software and, even more so, getting employees to actually use it in the right way. This adoption issue is a  problem that requires a solution that scales with a company and its ever-evolving tech stack. I had a client who was a customer of one of the big source-to-pay software players and was paying for functionality created to increase adoption within the tool for seven years. Seven years! And didn’t even realize they had access to it. The irony is too much. I’ve been looking for a solution that provides step-by-step guidance, support, training, and tracking to detect usage issues and correct them in real-time. A solution that empowers leaders to optimize how every app is used and every process is completed across their organization. A solution that helps employees actually use the software that a company has paid for. With years of experience as a principal architect and consultant for Fortune 500 companies implementing software tech stacks, Apty CEO and Founder, Krishna Dunthoori, built his career around optimizing and streamlining enterprise software rollouts and utilization. Krishna’s global background and expertise have led Fortune 500 clients to meet digital transformation goals faster, more efficiently, and with better software ROI. True software ROI comes when employees adopt software AND use it in the right way. In order to bridge the gap between the software and ROI/Usage/Adoption problem, Krishna decided to build a Value Realization Platform - A platform that results in hard cost savings and helps people engage with any software. I am thrilled to announce The Procurement Girl’s newest tech obsession, Apty. Your Enterprise Software Value Realization Platform! By effectively managing your procurement and supply chain tech stack and ensuring visibility, compliance, and software adoption, you can achieve the cost savings you need to prove a strong ROI for the systems and solutions your organization has implemented. These days we have to get creative with driving cost savings and that’s why Apty is offering a complimentary consultation to discuss the adoption of your tech stack and how it’s causing ROI leakage. Click the link in the comments if you’d like to learn more about the big cost savings and ROI opportunity that already exists in your tech stack without having to change a thing. #TheProcurementGirl #TechObsession

Getting stakeholders aligned for a new source to pay suite. Different goals, priorities and personalities coming together and agreeing on a solution takes a lot out of #procurement. It's not always pretty but it is necessary. One stakeholder at a time... #TheProcurementGirl #ProcurementMeansBusiness Procurement Rocks
