🌍 🌟 This week, we’re heading over to Denmark to shine a spotlight on an incredible organizer and ambassador, Ida Vesterdal! 💥 Since she heard about The Week two years ago, Ida and her partner, Sune Kjems have organized The Week with over 300 participants, and supported more than 25 individuals in launching their own sessions. With the help of the incredible change hub Klub København, they come together with a group of volunteers four times a year to host a session of The Week! It’s become a vibrant hub for meaningful conversations and impactful change. 🎉 Back in January, they even held a one-year birthday party for The Week in Denmark! 80+ people came together to share, participate in workshops, food, and fun – and even a live dialogue with Leila Hoballah! 🔗 She’s also created her own website to inform people about The Week in Danish! I’ll throw the link in the comments. Ida first connected with The Week around two years ago. She was inspired by Frederic Laloux’s work for many years, so when she heard about the project – she embraced the change to bring it to her community. As one participant, Cecilie, beautifully expressed - The Week ignites the “power and desire to act and make a difference.” Thank you Ida, for your dedication and for being a catalyst for change! She’s built a community around sustainable living, climate action / education, and community-based solutions to the climate crisis. And back in April, she heard about The Week. 🍸 She loved the idea, so she decided to bring together a few friends over espresso martinis to talk about the climate crisis, and what we can do about it. A few weeks ago, Frederic Laloux joined the Inner Development Goals for a Pre-Summit Special to share about The Week! Here's how it went. 🌎 Frederic started by introducing The Week — a transformative experience designed to bridge the gap between knowing that our behavior and systems need to change, and taking action. Particularly in response to urgent global challenges like the climate crisis. Easily one of my favorite quotes from #ClimateWeekNYC. 🌎 This came from Solitaire Townsend, Chief Solutionist and Co-founder of Futerra, during our first event of the week, about how to trigger positive tipping points for climate action & sustainability. ⚖️ It's something that we talk about a lot in our work, too - so I made a point of showing up. In giving folks a space to engage in real, emotional conversations about the climate crisis, The Week is triggering these social tipping points in groups and organizations, to build a culture of togetherness around climate action.
