Every year, we welcome a new cohort of startups into our three-month, intense in-residence accelerator program. These entrepreneurs start as strangers, but through hard work, shared challenges, and collaboration, something magical happens – they become family.   This year, it's safe to say the highlight of the social program was the cohort’s Friendsgiving gathering hosted by our Operations Manager Larissa Kenney. Each founder brought a dish from their place of origin, creating a diverse and meaningful meal. It was a celebration of camaraderie, cultural exchange, and the deep friendships that have blossomed throughout their journey.   What begins with unfamiliar faces evolves into a tight-knit community of innovators and friends. As we race towards the HardTech Showcase, Week 12 at the Heritage Group Accelerator has been full of activity and growth. Here’s a look back at our exciting week: Monday: We kicked off the week by sharpening our technology solutions during LEAP office hours in the morning. The day concluded with invaluable last-minute pitch tips from Arvind, setting the stage for a week of intense preparation. Tuesday: The morning began with a bittersweet moment as our analyst, Zeke Skulski delivered his Orr Fellowship rotation presentation, and we're are sad to see him leave as he moves on to his final rotation at The Heritage Group. The cohort then took inspiration from last year’s pros by watching the 2023 HardTech Showcase, gaining insights and motivation for their upcoming presentations. Wednesday: While the morning was dedicated to intensive pitch practice, later the cohort enjoyed the iconic “Kiss the Bricks” tour at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, facilitated by Larissa Kenney. The cohort fully immersed themselves in classic Hoosier sports-culture. Thursday: We enjoyed having Michael Hatch from SVB present a lunch and learn session about their services for startup founders. Friday: The week ended with a dry run of the pitches, allowing the team to see their hard work come to life on the big stage in the Quarry. Tonight, the cohort and Accelerator team will gather for a Friendsgiving, celebrating our newfound friendships with a feast featuring foods from each founder’s heritage. It's hard to believe we only have two weeks until our #2024cohort leaves. The Heritage Group Accelerator truly turns strangers intro friends, and friends into family. We hope you enjoyed the highlights of this week as much as we did! Monday The cohort sharpened their technical expertise with LEAP Office Hours, followed by 1:1 office hours with Arvind Murthy. Tuesday Our founders took the big stage for pitch practice in the cohort. They said it was starting to feel very real, as #HardTechShowcase is just over 1 week away! Wednesday In the afternoon, the cohort geared up for a Tekfen Ventures virtual pitch event. Thursday Pitch School and a Lunch & Learn with Fidelity Private Shares - sounds like a perfect morning to me! Thank you to Jason Hammond from FPS for telling our cohort about your cap table management solution! Later, the cohort heard from Austin Weatherford from Atlas Ventures. Then, everyone headed to the patio for our inaugural THG Accelerator Chili Cookoff, a mixture of drinks, appetizers, chili, and fun! Congratulations to Ashley Bryan for being crowned the "Chili Queen." 🌶 Friday We rounded out the week with SM&A office hours with Joe Froehle and a CEO Roundtable discussion. Happy Week 11!
