Healing is a journey with others, not a solitary path. At Think Peace, we're inspired by survivors like Shirley who have transformed their pain into collective healing. We support Indigenous-led healing practices, creating spaces where traditional wisdom and trauma recovery unite to heal the past for a better future. "We can't do it alone. That's the beauty of healing. We can't do that alone. We have to do it with others." These powerful words come from Shirley Horn, a residential school survivor and inspiring force for good. As a child, Shirley was torn from her family and forced into a system designed to erase her culture. But in that darkness, she found an unexpected light – love for her fellow students, children just like her, far from home and family. Years later, that love blossomed into action. Shirley helped create a community for survivors, planting the seeds for a movement that would eventually lead to Canada's Truth and Reconciliation Commission. You can watch to learn more about Shirley’s story here: https://lnkd.in/efZBEqhS This Indigenous Peoples' Day, Shirley's message reminds us that healing is a shared journey. At Think Peace, we're privileged to work alongside heroes like Shirley, supporting Indigenous therapists and knowledge-keepers in creating community-centered healing practices. Your donation can help write a new chapter of collective healing and hope for Indigenous communities through co-creation workshops to indigenize trauma healing. Every contribution helps reclaim stories and build brighter futures together. Stand with Shirley and countless others: https://lnkd.in/eJcFcFVd #IndigenousPeoplesDay #HealingTogether

And the quality of our relationships - to ourselves, to others, and to our work - is contingent on our capacity to cultivate centeredness and groundedness within ourselves.” Would you join us as we explore the work of nurturing social transformation that starts within? Our upcoming Integrative Transformation virtual retreat on Sep 28-29 explores the intersection of individual and collective care, healing, and transformation.
