I know it’s a bit of an ask, but I need your help LinkedIn. I’m working hard to revolutionize how we think about longevity.   In such a busy world, I have never understood why we don’t prioritize ourselves more. Poor nutrition. Not getting enough sleep. Breathing polluted air. It just doesn’t sit right with me. It’s also why I started ThinkLite Air. Last week, I attended the Don't Die Summit (Miami) in hopes of finding other like-minded people.   I honestly didn’t know what to expect, but from the moment I arrived, I knew this wasn't going to be your typical sit-and-listen conference.   We’re talking:   -Real measurements of your biological age. -Hands-on experience with cutting-edge therapies. -Actual tasting of longevity-boosting foods.   They weren’t just meaningless vanity measurements. They were real-time truths about YOU. Safe to say my mind was blown. During the day, I got to connect with Nas Daily, who helped host the event. Definitely one of my main highlights! I was telling him about our mission to breathe better air and he was intrigued! The air you breathe indoors could be harming you—without you even realizing it. Indoor air quality (IAQ) is a crucial but overlooked topic. Many of us know it matters, but few truly understand why or how exactly poor air quality impacts our health. It is not just about comfort—it affects our bodies in ways we cannot see. The world needs simple, accessible education on this issue. If you agree that more people should understand how the air around them affects their well-being, show your support: Please react, comment, and tag someone who needs to see this! Nas Daily, let’s collaborate to bring this vital topic to the world in a way everyone can understand. Change begins with action, and at ThinkLite Air, we are committed to challenging perspectives and making a meaningful impact! #dontdiesummit #challengepost #taghim #HealthMatters #BreatheBetter #EducationForAll

  • Indoor air can be 2-5X more polluted than outdoor air—sometimes even reaching 100X higher levels. Considering that people spend 90% of their time indoors, this exposure is a serious health concern, especially for children, older adults, and those with pre-existing conditions. How Does Indoor Air Pollution Increase Cancer Risk? Studies show that increased concentrations of harmful substances can lead to serious health risks, including cancer. Below are the most common forms: • Particulate Matter (PM0.1 & PM2.5): tiny particles that enter the lungs and bloodstream. • Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs): Found in building materials and cleaning products—some, like formaldehyde, are known carcinogens. • Radon: A naturally occurring gas that’s the #1 cause of lung cancer in non-smokers. • Combustion Byproducts: Smoke, gas stoves, and industrial emissions release benzene and PAHs, both linked to cancer. What Can Be Done? Indoor air quality monitoring and purification are needed to limit exposure along with implementing proper ventilation strategies. Creating safer indoor spaces requires awareness, action, and the right technology. • Recent research has revealed that humans inhale the equivalent of a credit card’s worth of microplastics every week. These microscopic particles, measuring less than 5mm in size, are suspended in the air we breathe—originating from synthetic fabrics, industrial emissions, vehicle tires, and even household dust. Recent studies have shown how microplastics travel and deposit in the human respiratory system (see below). The findings show that microplastics (PM0.1–PM2.5) don’t just get trapped in the upper airways; they reach deep into the lungs and enter the bloodstream, leading to long-term health risks. Risks include: • Inflammation and respiratory issues • Exposure to toxic chemicals • Cardiovascular and neurological risks • Additional risks as research continues Given their widespread presence, monitoring and improving indoor air quality is crucial to reducing exposure. While outdoor air pollution gets much attention, studies show indoor air can be 2-5 times more polluted, making IAQ monitoring and purification an essential step in protecting your health. • Did you know that 11 million missed workdays each year in the U.S. is caused by asthma? Asthma and poor indoor air quality are closely linked. People with asthma are highly sensitive to pollutants and allergens, both indoors and outdoors. Indoor pollutants like mold, dust mites, pet dander, cleaning products, and poor ventilation can worsen asthma symptoms such as coughing, wheezing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath. The Workplace Impact: When air quality is compromised, employees with asthma may face reduced performance and increased absenteeism due to worsening symptoms. Employers can help by improving workplace air quality through better ventilation, air filters, and addressing sources of indoor pollutants. Not Just the Workplace: Asthma isn’t just an adult issue—childhood asthma remains the leading cause of chronic disease-related school absenteeism, with over 10 million missed school days annually. Better indoor air quality means better health and fewer sick days. Investing in air purification is an investment in employees and children. • Wildfires carry small and large particles of organic and inorganic matter. These particles enter homes and buildings through HVAC ducts, doors, windows, and even foundational cracks. Did you know? • Wildfire smoke kills more than its flames, with fine particulate matter (PM2.5) from smoke linked to an estimated 12,000 additional deaths annually due to respiratory and cardiovascular issues. • Wildfires are now occurring in unexpected places due to climate change and invasive plant species, increasing fire risk in regions previously thought to be safe. • Wildfire smoke can harm you in the short-term (irritation of the eyes, throat, and lungs, headaches, dizziness, and worsened asthma or allergies) and long-term (increased risk of respiratory diseases, heart attacks, strokes, and cognitive decline). Protecting your indoor air quality is crucial to protecting your health in the short and long term. Monitor your indoor air quality, limit outdoor air intake through your HVAC on poor air quality days, and use medical-grade air purifiers to keep occupants healthy. • A recent study on CO₂ control in schools reveals that a hybrid approach using air quality monitoring and targeted ventilation strategies can effectively balance indoor air quality (#IAQ) and energy savings. While time-based ventilation strategies reduce CO₂, they increase energy costs. Threshold-based ventilation, especially when combined with IAQ monitoring systems like ThinkLite Air's Flair and localized solutions such as Purilux and ICON M, provides a more efficient, quieter alternative. ThinkLite Air’s Purilux in-ceiling air purifying LED light further addresses schools' space and acoustic limitations, purifying air without occupying valuable floor space or creating disruptive noise—perfect for classrooms prioritizing both health and cost-effective energy use. • Happy Thanksgiving from ThinkLite Air! 🦃 As we gather for the holiday season, let’s keep the air inside as fresh as the fall breeze outdoors! Here are some simple but effective Thanksgiving tips for maintaining high indoor air quality (IAQ): 1. Ventilate While You Cook - Holiday cooking can release particulates and gases into the air. Turn on your range hood and crack open a window to reduce indoor pollutants. 2. Minimize Scented Candles and Sprays - While festive scents are lovely, synthetic fragrances can emit VOCs (volatile organic compounds) that impact air quality. Opt for natural alternatives or flameless options! 3. Use High-Quality Air Purifiers - Hosting guests? Make sure to use high-quality air purifiers like the ThinkLite Air ICON M and Purilux to capture and eliminate the amount of harmful particulate matter in the air. 4. Check CO2 Levels - More people indoors can raise CO2 levels. Use an IAQ monitor, like our Flair, to ensure a comfortable and well-ventilated space. This Thanksgiving, create a welcoming and healthy environment for family and friends. Follow us for more IAQ tips! #Thanksgiving #AirQuality #IndoorAirQuality #IAQ #Smartbuildings #Health #Healthcare #Medical #Cleaning #FacilitiesManagement
