Last month we joined the City of Fairhope and other project partners for a groundbreaking of the Flying Creek Nature Preserve. We provided the master planning and engineering services for this project and can't wait to see the nature trails, outdoor classrooms, bird blinds, creek overlooks, and more come to life over the next several months. #ThompsonEngineering #masterplanning #outdoors #landscapearchitecture

Employees from our Houston office volunteered their time this weekend to distribute food and water following Hurricane Beryl. The effort helped about 1,000 people. Houston area residents have had to throw away food because of prolonged power outages due to the storm, which made landfall a week ago today. #ThompsonEngineering #Houston

Congratulations to Mobile County and all of the partners who brought this vibrant addition to the Africatown community to fruition. Our affiliated architectural firm Watermark Design did a great job and we were proud to support them in providing engineering services. 

Kudos to the Alabama School of Math and Science on the unveiling of the Edward O. Wilson Science Research Center. The state-of-the-art facility provides high school students the opportunity to conduct college-level scientific research. One of the classrooms in the 32,000-square-foot building bears the Thompson name thanks to contributions made by the Thompson Foundation. The 22nd annual Thompson Fishing Rodeo was a big success, raising a record $100,000 for the Thompson Foundation! More than 100 anglers braved less-than-ideal conditions earlier this month to compete for bragging rights and prizes. Our awards ceremony was lots of fun with great food, music, and friends. We owe a big shoutout to all of the companies and individuals who donated to the foundation as part of this event. Every dollar of a donation goes directly to the Foundation and then back to our communities in the form of grants and scholarships.
