Last week, we had the privilege of welcoming the Lightning Boy Foundation to our Santa Fe headquarters for a truly inspiring performance. The Foundation was established in memory of Valentino "Tzigiwhaeno" Rivera, a young boy whose passion for dance knew no bounds. Valentino's vibrant spirit, expressed through traditional pueblo dances, continues to resonate within his home community in the Tewa Pueblos of Northern New Mexico. Today, the Foundation keeps his legacy alive, sharing the healing power of the Traditional Hoop Dance with the next generation. This non-profit organization provides opportunities for children of all ages to reconnect with their heritage through dance and the arts—nurturing resilience, culture, and hope in every performance.

Hurricane Helene devastated parts of the southeastern US, hitting North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee especially hard. Thornburg's Director of Intermediary Sales Matthew Seiter, CIMA® resides in Charlotte, NC, and volunteered with Wine To Water for Hurricane Helene relief. He shared, “Words cannot express the devastation we saw... Please keep the families impacted by Helene in your thoughts and prayers.” Matt helped deliver essential supplies, including generators and water, to affected mountain towns. Web Program Manager Kevin Call, from Eastern Tennessee, volunteered at FEMA’s relief efforts at Bristol Motor Speedway, stating, “Forklifts were buzzing, semi-trucks packed, and helicopters flew out. FEMA is doing an incredible job... I was glad to pitch in and help those that need it.” American Red Cross and Wine to Water and will match employee donations to qualified 501c3 organizations up to $500 per year.
