We are thrilled to announce that John Fuhrman won Pro-face by Schneider Electric - Americas recent challenge! This achievement is a testament to John's hard work and dedication to excellence in industrial automation. We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to showcase our solutions and proud to be recognized by such a respected name in the industry. A huge thank you to Pro-Face for organizing this contest and for all participants who made it so competitive. We look forward to continuing our partnership and pushing the boundaries of technology together!

Congratulations to @John Fuhrman at Thorp Controls! John is the winner of the Pro-face Automate America Challenge! John's application showing how a Pro-face HMI helps facilitate a Grain Bin sweep controller provided all the pieces needed to showcase the power, flexibility, and versatility of GP-Pro EX HMI Development Software! Unique features include:  - The operator can set the active auger target current by selecting the grain type and moisture rather than having to enter a numerical target by memory or per-use test. (Uses recipe feature of the LTM4000.)   - An inductive rotary position sensor monitors the sweep auger position in the bin.  - Bin configuration parameters entered during installation dynamically modify the bin illustration for meaningful, intuitive operation in run time.     A display that is rich in animation helps the operator understand what is going on with his bin emptying process easily and at-a-glance. Key animations include:  - Positions of bin features such as ladder, door, and floor auger exit are shown in actual relative locations for the specific bin, based on bin configuration parameters.  - Current position of the floor auger is shown in real-time based on the rotary position sensor input.  - Slippage of the pusher wheel is shown via animation, as is status of the Auger motor.  - Measured auger motor current relative to target is shown on screen. Watch the step-by-step video and see this application in action! As we bid farewell (sort of) to the era of magnetic strips and reflectors, we welcome the dawn of 3D LiDAR—a revolution in localization and perception. SICK Sensor Intelligence's multiScan, with its panoramic view and sensing of natural contours, epitomizes this leap forward. No longer bound by predefined routes or manmade markers, AGVs and mobile platforms can adapt dynamically to their surroundings. The warehouse floor becomes a canvas of possibilities, where obstacles are mere challenges to overcome, not roadblocks.
