Did you notice our name change? 👀 We are pleased to announce that we are now a registered Community Interest Company (CIC) with Companies House. We wanted to register this little endeavour as a 'real life' company for a few reasons: 1. Accountability and transparency. We wouldn't put our trust, time or hard earned money into something without knowing what's being done with it. We don't expect other people to either. 2. Access. A lot of grants and financial support is available only to initiatives that are officially registered as a CIC or charity. We wanted to open more doors for our cause. 3. Commitment. In qualifying for CIC status we have been approved as operating as a company whose aim is to benefit the community. We've passed the ‘community interest test’, and we're committed to continuing to champion the environment, nature, community and education. ✅ Stay tuned for some exciting events in the not-too-distant future... Earth Day 🌎 For anyone that views today with cynicism - we hear you. Yes, it has become something of a marketing tool. Yes, every day SHOULD be Earth Day. And yes, what we need is systemic, sustained solutions - not “one off” posts. BUT we also firmly believe that each of our individual actions CAN make a meaningful difference. So with that in mind, we hit the mean streets (and crags) of Borrowdale this weekend for an Earth Day Spring Clean. A huge thank you to those who got stuck in, and to the incredible Repair Heroes of Alpkit Keswick who generously and skilfully made these very cool Tidy Bags. Can you help? We're looking for volunteers from the climbing community to lend a little bit of time on Earth Day this year and help keep our crags clean! Up for it? Get in touch. #litterpicking #earthday #communityaction

Who’s up for a winter #TrashCount ? The cold, wet winter months aren’t exactly conducive to outdoor climbing - but we would like to encourage our community to continue their efforts whenever they can. Bag it up, record it and report it through Trash Free Trails and komoot ⬇️ #tidyclimbers #litterpicking #communityaction
Winter is here, but our commitment to cleaner trails doesn't take a break! The leaves have fallen and frost covers the ground, yet the problem of single-use pollution doesn't go into hibernation. This weekend we are calling on you to, join us for a Winter #TrashCount 🌲 Wherever you are in the world, we call you to head out on a ride, run or roam this weekend to ensure our trails stay green! The ask is simple: REMOVE all the single-use pollution you can find. Every single piece counts. RECORD what you remove to the State of Our Trails Report using @komoot and contribute to ground-breaking science (link in our bio) REPORT your incredible contributions on your social media, tag us so we can see them and use #TrashCount to show the impact we can make together. Every hand helps, and every piece of trash removed makes a difference. Are you ready to take on the winter challenge? Show us your commitment with a ❄️ in the comments! #TrashFreeTrails 🙏 to our partners komoot Trek Bicycle Bosch eBike Systems The North Face x EOCA European Outdoor Conservation Association Red Bull ORBEA

Wishing all the Tidy Climbers of planet Earth a very merry Christmas.🎄 We understand how hard it can be to find sense in what goes on in our world, and to celebrate and be happy without guilt. As firm believers in doing what we can within our own means, we hope that all our connections find comfort today knowing that their positive actions really do make a difference. No good deed - however big or small - is futile. We’ll be carrying that with us into 2024. How about you? #tidyclimbers #communityengagement #litterpicking

Community engagement is key! Earlier this month, we took a wee bit of space at the table at the Women’s Climbing Symposium at The Climbing Hangar Liverpool. We chatted to folk about what we're up to as they went between the awesome workshops and inspiring talks on offer throughout the day. Having a space to talk to the climbing community about what we’re up to was SO invigorating, and we’ve got some bright ideas for future activations and events going forward. That space also drove home for us, once again, how we are only as strong as the community behind us. 💛 Thank you to everyone who came for a chat, took a sticker or two or scanned the QR codes on our shiny new posters! #tidyclimbers #events #communityengagement

Tidy Alpinists! ⛏️ We are very excited to feature on the ‘Up Close and Personal’ page of the autumn Alpine Club newsletter as part of an interview with founder Hannah Mitchell. Thank you very much to the AC for helping us to share what we’re all about with another part of the wonderful, colourful climbing community. Special thanks to Adam Butterworth for putting this together. Next stop? Women's Climbing Symposium! #tidyclimbers #outdoormedia #communityimpact
