  • What stands out to you when you land on a website for the first time? Is it the colors and images? 🎨🖼️ The text? 💬 The functionality and features? 🖥️ Studies show we form an impression within about 7 seconds of landing on a #website. So regardless of what stands out first, you're "judging the book by the cover" and deciding if you like what you see or if you want to click the back button very quickly. For our recent website project with Four Piers, our goal was to establish a simple yet bold and personable website. We used bright colors and fun geometric patterns to draw people in, paired with #content that speaks directly to visitors to hold their interest. Remember, your website doesn't need to be overly flashy or complex in order to get people to stay for longer than 7 seconds. The simpler the visuals and content, the better the experience. Have you ever landed on a website and felt immediately overwhelmed by the number of pages or amount of content? Unfortunately, a lot of companies try to put everything and the kitchen sink on their sites, which can drive people away or cause a bad first impression. Here’s why simplifying your #website is key: Pages: Gone are the days of 30+ page websites. Stick to a streamlined navigation and remember that fewer pages tend to create a better user experience. Content: Most visitors scan content rather than read it. Use headlines, subheads, and bullets instead of long paragraphs to keep your content clean and easy to follow. Design: High-quality imagery and animations can draw peopl in, but using too many visual elements can distract and overwhelm users. We call this visual bullying. Be selective! Forms: Less is more here too. Keep forms short and simple with just the essentials, since too many fields might scare users away. By simplifying your website, you create a simple, #userfriendly experience. Remember, less truly is more when it comes to modern web design! • What are your website visitors looking for? If you don't understand what people are hoping to achieve by coming to your website, you won't be able to establish an effective #userexperience. For example, some clients may already know a bit about you, so they're coming to your #website to complete their due diligence and figure out how to take the next steps. Others may have stumbled upon your website during a search, and need to evaluate who you are before they explore what you offer and how to connect. For service-oriented companies, many people are visiting the website to understand what makes you a better option than your competition. So, our latest #webdesign for Pillar Legal, P.C. was centered around differentiating the firm by highlighting their knowledge and expertise. To illustrate this, our team implemented: ✅ A "Why Pillar Legal?" section with details on their team's experience and specializations ✅ Simple Practice Area descriptions and insights categorized by client type ✅ A "How to Work With Us" section that defines 3 different packages for various client needs ✅ A strong, clear "Schedule a Free Consultation" call-to-action Check out the full web design here! https://lnkd.in/g3mQEwuH

As we get closer to the end of the year, we're all trying to wrap up our to-do list and start 2025 fresh. For many, one of those to-do's is a #websiteredesign. Before getting started, it’s crucial to understand the purpose your website serves. For some, it might just be an "online brochure." But for many, it serves as a powerful sales or marketing tool. ❓What is your website's purpose? Some common ones are to: - Sell products or courses - Educate potential customers about your services - Encourage visitors to schedule a consultation or demo - Establish a marketing "hub" with blogs, videos, and podcasts - Promote events or webinars and collected registrations - Connect with potential investors or partners Understanding your purpose allows you to strategically lay out your content and page structure to guide visitors toward taking the desired action. It can feel like a lot to integrate all of your marketing channels. From social media to blogs and your website, how does it all connect? We recommend using the "Hub & Spoke" model, where your #website acts as the hub that connects all of your marketing channels (spokes) together, helping to drive traffic and increase engagement. Following this model, most if not all of your marketing material should drive people back to your website, where you can take a deeper dive into your benefits, services, and expertise. There are 5 key #marketing channels you should connect to your website: 📨 Email Marketing: Use newsletters to introduce educational & personal insights, then drive traffic back to your website to read the full article 📑Blog: Regularly update your #blog posts with interlinked content to improve search rankings and keep visitors engaged. 🎙 Webinars/Podcasts: Host these on your website to attract visitors. Offer options to sign up for webinars or subscribe to podcasts directly on your site. 🖥 Landing Pages: Use dedicated landing pages for specific marketing campaigns or events, which helps optimize conversions and provides a tailored experience for your visitors. 📱 Social Media: Similar to newsletters, #socialmedia is a great place to introduce your educational content and drive traffic back to your website By connecting these channels to your website, you build a unified marketing strategy. Learn more about the Hub & Spoke model and its benefits in our latest vlog from CEO Mikel Bruce: https://lnkd.in/gjZSiWvS

When working on your website, you want to define one primary goal, or call-to-action, that you want people to accomplish before they leave. If you sell products, your #calltoaction would be the completion of an order. If you offer a service, you'll likely want people to reach out to you by scheduling a call, filling out a form, or signing up for your newsletter. Once your primary objective has been defined, there are five essential elements for crafting a powerful and effective #CTA on your #website: 🎯Clarity Your CTA should be clear and concise with direct language that tells visitors exactly what to do 👥Relevant Make sure your CTA aligns with your ideal client's needs and decision-making stage. For example, “Schedule a Free Consultation” is relevant and actionable to potential clients who want to learn more 📢 Persuasive Your CTA should encourage action without being pushy. Persuasive language can guide visitors down an organic journey that ends in taking action ✍️Consistent Use consistent CTAs across your website to create a cohesive experience. Whether it’s a button or a link, keeping the message uniform prevents confusion and reiterates what action comes next 🎨 Well-Designed Ensure your CTA stands out. Use bright colors , bold text, or ALL CAPS to draw attention, establish priorities, and make it easy for visitors to take the next step For more help focusing on these elements and creating CTAs that effectively drive your website's goals, check out our latest vlog by Web Strategist Maria Newman, MBA https://lnkd.in/g32nYe3h

Does your website accurately and effectively share the services you offer? Nowadays, people are looking for more than just an online brochure. They want to land on your #website and learn more about who you are, what you offer, the experience you have, and how to take the next steps with you. To help people do this as easily as possible, your website should: ✅ Have an easy-to-access navigation with clearly titled pages 👥 Introduce your team members and their experience 📚 Share examples of your work via a portfolio, case studies, or demos 📢 Tell people what action to take next: "Book a Meeting" or "Buy Now" Our recent #redesign for D&D LASER SCREED, INC. incorporates all of this, helping the construction company better highlight their capabilities and projects online. When laying out the content, navigation, and pages of your #website, there are a lot of different things to consider. From the length of the paragraphs to the number of pages and structure of each page, every aspect can either help or hinder your website's #userexperience. ✅ The approach we like to follow is what's called persuasive architecture. This involves persuading visitors down a path that answers their questions and provides information before encouraging them to take action. ❌ The alternative to this is a more forceful approach (think pop-ups and websites with wayyy too many pages). To implement persuasive architecture, you first need to understand what information is most important to your audience. From there, you can determine how many pages and what content you'll need. All of this impacts the "user path" that visitors take on your website. User paths can vary by industry and customer type, but the most common one is: Home page ➡ About ➡ Team ➡ Services ➡ Who We Serve/Portfolio ➡ Contact Us, Book a Meeting and/or Insights/Resources Learn more about implementing #persuasivearchitecture in our latest vlog: https://lnkd.in/db8icBfz

Technology is always changing, and we're all bombarded with headline after headline about the latest and greatest tools that you "have to add to your tech stack." It can feel overwhelming to try and keep up with everything. Fortunately, you don't have to (and shouldn't) implement every new tool that hits the market. There are 3 main questions you should answer before choosing to implement new #technology 1️⃣ How does the tool connect to or support what you're already using? If you find a new tool that would be a better fit for your team than what you’re currently using, test it out! But, if it works against your system or doesn't actually add value, it might be worth skipping. 2️⃣ How valuable will it be for your team? If there's a high learning curve that will take hours of training and won't lead to more efficient results or productivity, it may not be worth the time or effort. Consider the end results before implementing new technology; some items will be well worth the extra time, but others may not. 3️⃣ Will it be of benefit to your clients and/or your #website visitors? Most importantly, consider how tech-savvy your audience is, and whether the tool will make their life easier or harder. Of course, a learning curve is expected when you implement something new, but if it doesn't benefit your clients, it may be more trouble than it's worth. It's important to be open and excited about new tools & technology, but it's also worth analyzing the big picture to decide whether or not the tool's implementation will help your team save time or money, and help your clients reach their desired results. Check out our latest vlog from Web Strategist for more on implementing the next big trend, including some AI examples: https://lnkd.in/dfRdwVps
