Innovation Beyond Waste

About us

“Innovation Beyond Waste” Wastewater itself is no longer waste but a valuable resource for the sustainable society. Seeking to lead this new paradigm, BKT has devoted years to technological innovation in an endeavor to transform wastewater “from cost stream to profit stream”. BKT has created Tomorrow Water Process (TWP) to minimize environmental impacts while maximizing economic benefits from the wastewater. TWP aims to reduceoperation cost from energy savings, sludge volume reductions, and elimination of chemical use. In addition to these savings, TWP also generates profits in the form of carbon credit and advanced energy production with thermal hydrolysis and anaerobic digestion technologies. TWP's core bio filtration technology is able to divert carbon sources for the maximum generation of biogas, overcoming a stringent range of Carbon-to-Nitrogen ratio in its wastewater treatment process with Anammox bacteria. Every single unit of technology is important, but a well-organized and well-balanced process is the most important key factor to realize our mission. To facilitate this vision of sustainable development, BKT has formally registered Tomorrow Water Initiative(#12177) to UN SDGs Partnership and TWP was also accepted as an official SDGs model at 2016 UN ECOSOC High-level segment.

Next week August 27-30, Dr. Amit Kaldate will be at the 2024 Tri -Association Conference (Tri-Con) in Ocean City, MD. He will be presenting on Tomorrow Water's #Proteus technology, which provides a significant opportunity for wastewater utilities to effectively and sustainably address many of their capital improvement and operational challenges, typically encountered in the Mid-Atlantic region due to the aging infrastructure and the stricter discharge regulations to protect its sensitive, but also nationally admired, water environment. Reach out to Dr. Amit Kaldate or Tomorrow Water team to schedule a convenient time to meet during the conference but also don't miss his very informative presentations: ⚫ “Innovative New Media with Advanced Deep Bed Primary Filtration Makes Significant Strides” Thursday, August 29 at 11:30 AM Room 203-204 ⚫ "Continuous Flow Aerobic Granular Sludge Process Helps with Sustainable Upgrades at WRRFs" Thursday, August 29 at 4:30 PM Room 203-204 We are excited to see you in Maryland! Tomorrow Water team recently visited our #Proteus technology pilot at Linda County, CA, where we implemented the necessary modifications to advance to the next phase of our technology demonstration. This visit was a significant step forward, and we couldn't have achieved it without the outstanding collaboration and support from the Caliskaner Water Technologies, Inc. team. As we continue to push the boundaries of what's possible in wastewater treatment, we invite you to consider some key questions that highlight the powerful capabilities of Proteus technology: ⚫ Do you need to create significant space in your treatment facility to accommodate capacity expansion or improved treatment goals? ⚫ Do you need to handle high peaking factors? ⚫ Do you need to shift more carbon from your treatment line to create green energy? ⚫ Do you need to reduce your wastewater treatment from >10 hours to 3 hours or less? If the answer is ‘yes’ to any of these questions, #Proteus is the technology for your wastewater treatment plant. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to show how #Proteus can transform wastewater treatment. #wastewatertreatment #proteus

"This lab will be just one more brick in building a water technology hub in the Milwaukee area.” Learn more about Tomorrow Water (a TWC member), Aqua-Aerobic Systems, Inc. and the primary filtration technologies they will be testing at Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District's groundbreaking testing facility in this interview with MMSD Executive Director Kevin Shafer. The facility's goal, he says, is "to increase the exposure of these new technologies to the industries that would help them with their commercialization. We’ve got wonderful partners here in the Milwaukee area that are represented by The Water Council, so there will be a lot of partnerships with the companies that make up The Water Council…giving them a local footprint where they can test out some of their research." Tomorrow Water's Industrial Services' Success Story!   We are excited to share that Monterey Gourmet Foods, located in Gilroy, California, has partnered with Tomorrow Water to provide a turnkey approach for their wastewater treatment plant expansion. The expansion was intended to accommodate an increase in their fresh noodle production. Tomorrow Water's turnkey solution included permitting, engineering, technology/system integration & supply, and construction. The Tomorrow Water solution included an MBBR-DAF system with mechanical screening, and the project was delivered successfully under a compressed construction schedule and available footprint constraints.   With this facility expansion, Monterey Gourmet Foods Company was able to focus on expanding its production capacity to 24 million packs of fresh noodles per year, while treating its wastewater efficiently and meeting the stricter wastewater discharge limits imposed by the city.   Read the full Case Study: https://lnkd.in/ggiGsawR   Read more about Tomorrow Water Industrial Solutions and Capabilities https://lnkd.in/ebed3xJ2   #wastewatertreatment #casestudy #foodprocessing #industrialapplications
