Our West Territory Manager for ToolBank Disaster Services, Art Garciacano, was in East Los Angeles working at the Emergency Preparedness Fair. Officer Hernandez, with the LAPD, and Brenda Rodriguez, with the City of Los Angeles Emergency Management Department's Community Preparedness and Engagement Division, joined Art. Check out the latest addition to our ToolBank Disaster Services (TDS) vehicle fleet. Our fleet of TDS vehicles has increased to include 1 - 18’ trailers, 11 - 24’ trailers, 1 - 30’ trailers, 5 - 53’ trailers, 2 pickup trucks, 1 Ford Transit, and 2 campers to house our team while on deployment. Tools are vital during disasters, as victims often lose all their belongings, rendering cleanup and rebuilding impossible. After the floodwaters receded from Hurricane Helene, tools lay scattered among the debris in Asheville. ToolBank Disaster Services is empowering volunteer teams with the tools they need to help individuals reclaim their homes. We sincerely appreciate the tireless efforts of disaster service organizations as they work to uplift communities affected by the flooding.
