Customers can tell when you're more focused on selling vs focused on helping. Let us explain... Let's say you're a sales rep working to close your deal. They agreed to pricing and want to move forward. You're close to the contract phase, but then your buyer starts to go silent.. but your boss gets louder. "What's the latest with XYZ deal?", "Are you still forecasting it for the Quarter?" One way to focus more on helping the buyer instead of selling is by reminding yourself before sending an email about status updates or trying to progress the sale forward, ask yourself how you can send an email that helps progress the buyer's situation first, even before you're officially working together. There's a reason why you got this far in the sales cycle. The buyer believes you will help them solve their problem... So keep focusing on ways to help them when you reach out more than focusing on the sale and this will naturally help progress your deal.
