Yesterday was the first day back for our students, and I enjoyed visiting schools and welcoming our students, parents, and staff to the 2024-25 school year. Looking forward to another great year in the Torrance Unified School District! 

Torrance Unified administrators are busy preparing for our 2024-2025 school year. A special thank you to our partners at Dignity Health Sports Park and LA Galaxy for generously hosting our Annual Leadership and General Administrators professional development training at their beautiful American Express Stadium Club. Our day included informative presentations, school planning, team building, sharing best practices, lunch, and, of course, great photo ops!

🏆We are proud to announce that in July, the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) recognized our District's communication work with three awards, adding to the three we previously won from the California School Public Relations Association (CALSPRA). A special thank you to our partners at Ideation/Charles Lee (branding) and Bakersman/Paul Kartsonis and Team (video production) for their strategic, creative, and production partnership on these projects. 📣 📰 The 2024 Daily Breeze/Beach Reporter Readers Choice Awards announced the 2024 winners, and we are thrilled that we have won 19 awards, including BEST public school district, for a FOURTH year in a row! This year we were also recognized as a FAVORITE WORKPLACE! Thank you to all the voters and all of our partners for this continued honor; we are so proud of all of our schools and the way we serve our students!

📣🔬🚀 47 Torrance Unified students traveled back to compete against 391 other student finalists during the U.S. National Invention Convention held at The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan last week. These bright minds tackled real-world problems and crafted creative, evidence-based solutions to benefit others, confidently presenting their projects to the judges. We are beyond proud to announce that our innovative inventors brought home TEN awards (View Photos!) including two highly coveted Industry Sector awards- for the TOP CATEGORY INVENTIONS in the entire United States (K-12)!
