His award-winning PhD thesis on blockchain-based electronic trade documents has been widely recognized as a pioneering work in the field. Beyond academia, Dr. Saive serves as Special Advisor for International Trade, Finance & Digitalization at the German National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Germany). He is also a Lawyer & Legal Product Owner at the Open Logistics Foundation, where he drives forward-thinking digital logistics solutions. As the Founder & Co-Editor of Logistik & Recht (LogR), an interdisciplinary law journal, he continues to shape thought leadership in trade digitalization. Dr. Saive’s expertise in paperless trade will further strengthen our focus on digital trade finance and legal innovation, helping Trade Technologies bridge the gap between financial transactions and the movement of goods by advancing seamless, digital-first trade solutions. Meyer's Sohn | FMS, he has built a global IT organization for one of the key players in the international logistics industry from the ground up, driving key initiatives in IT service management, enterprise software development, and process automation.   Before joining Fr. Meyer’s Sohn in 2012, Olaf founded an independent IT management firm, specializing in turnaround management for IT projects and agile methodologies. His extensive career includes leadership roles at AOL, Vodafone, Accenture, and Mannesmann Mobilfunk, where he led strategic technology programs and large-scale digital transformations. Beyond his expertise in digital transformation, Olaf brings deep knowledge of international trade, logistics, supply chain management, and business process outsourcing. Our Trade Advisory Board plays a key role in contributing to extend the reach of our innovative and practical trade and trade finance solutions for Today’s Trade and the Digital Journey ahead.   We are excited to welcome William Evans as the newest member of our Trade Advisory Board!   Most recently William (Bill) Evans served as Regional Head of CTS Americas for Commerzbank.  Bill was responsible in both New York and Brazil for all sales activities within the regional Trade Finance and Cash Management units. His mandate had a clear focus on revenue growth with existing as well as new customers, and expanding the footprint in the region while managing risk and costs. Bill has in-depth experience originating significant Transaction Banking business opportunities across Asia and Europe with North American clients. Before joining Commerzbank, he served as HSBC’s Head of Sales for Global Trade and Receivable Finance (GTRF) for the United States. Bill was responsible for leading the strategic growth of their GTRF business, including: Global and Commercial Banking, Commodities, Institutional Subsidiary Banking and Financial Institutions sectors. Prior to his time at HSBC, Bill joined ANZ as Head of Transaction Banking and Structured Trade Finance for the Americas. His goal was to build out ANZ’s Transaction Banking and Structured Trade business. This directive was twofold, first to build a meaningful business in the Americas and finally drive client opportunities into the company’s global footprint across Europe and AsiaPac. By seamlessly integrating traditional banking principles with innovative financial solutions, he has been an invaluable asset to every organization he has advised.   Pinaki has made significant industry contributions, including serving as a member of the ICC Working Group on Trade Digitalization in 2017 and as Vice Chair of ICC India’s Working Group on Banking and Finance from 2021 to 2024, where he remains an active member. He has also contributed to fraud prevention efforts through the ITFA Working Group on Fraud Prevention, chairing one of its specialized sub-groups.   As a recognized thought leader, he has shared insights at premier global financial forums, including GTR conferences in Mumbai, Hamburg, London, and Singapore, ICC Academy’s supply chain finance event in Singapore, LIBF’s India event in Mumbai, and the SWIFT SIBOS conference in Boston.
