About us
Treatment Advocacy Center is a national 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating barriers to the timely and effective treatment of severe mental illness (SMI). The organization promotes laws, policies, and practices for the delivery of psychiatric care and supports the development of innovative treatments for and research into the causes of severe and persistent psychiatric illnesses, such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

A large percentage of people with SMI do not respond, or imperfectly respond, to existing medication. This drug is the first novel medication in 70 years, working in a completely different way than others. We must continue to push for more investment like this in finding new treatments for those affected by SMI. https://lnkd.in/enBGUAzF
