  • Fun facts about TreeHouse Foods: ✅ We produce billions of sandwich crème cookies per year at our Tonawanda, New York, facility. In fact, it’s enough to wrap 1.5x around the earth! ✅ We are invested in our Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) strategies and plans. Our 2030 ESG goals include a variety of aspirations, ranging from energy and water usage savings to packaging materials. One goal is to have 100% of our product packaging be recyclable, reusable or compostable by 2030. ✅ The first pickle in space was from a TreeHouse plant! In 1985, astronaut Dr. William Thornton brought a pickle from the Faison, North Carolina, Cates Pickle plant all the way up with him on a Space Shuttle mission as a symbol of the community. In 1987, this plant was acquired by Dean Foods and was later spun off into TreeHouse Foods. We have three facilities that produce pickles: Faison, North Carolina; Green Bay, Wisconsin; and Chicago. Who are we? TreeHouse Foods, Inc. is a leading private label food and beverage manufacturer in North America. We produce a variety of products including crackers, non-dairy creamer, pickles, refrigerated dough, broths and stocks, hot cereal, pretzels, in-store bakery items, griddle, cookies, cheese and pudding, powdered beverages and other blends, coffee, tea, and unique candy products. We produce and sell our portfolio of private label foods and beverages for retail grocery, foodservice and co-pack customers. • TreeHouse Food’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) work is integrated throughout our operations, from supplier engagement on responsible sourcing to finding efficiencies in our own operations to partnering with customers on sustainability efforts. One effort we are focusing on is our packaging materials; we are committed to making 100% of our packaging recyclable, reusable, or compostable. Historically, many of our multi-serve beverage options were packaged in a recyclable canister that was covered in a thin plastic sleeve, making it unrecyclable by consumers. TreeHouse Foods invested in a new packaging solution to solve this challenge – creating a fully recyclable carton, which aims to meet all the same shelf-life needs and customer expectations, with a smaller environmental impact. Early estimations show an annual savings of approximately 1,300+ metric tons of GHG emissions, and elimination of approximately 700 metric tons of unrecyclable plastic from the switch.
