This Black History Month, we had the privilege of hosting a powerful Treyarch Presents conversation with Dr. Terrence Roberts, one of the Little Rock Nine, led by our very own Funmilola Akintoye.   Dr. Roberts shared his firsthand experience as one of the nine Black students who courageously integrated Central High School in 1957, an act that challenged the foundation of segregation in America. His reflections on that time were not just a history lesson but a reminder of the personal strength, sacrifice, and perseverance required to push for lasting change.   In the conversation, Dr. Roberts spoke about the emotional and psychological toll of being at the center of such a pivotal moment in history. He emphasized the importance of education - not just in the academic sense, but in understanding the systems that shape society and how we can work to dismantle those rooted in exclusion and injustice.   Dr. Roberts challenged us to think critically about progress, noting that while barriers may look different today, the responsibility to confront inequity remains.   A huge thank you to Dr. Roberts for sharing his wisdom and to Lola Akintoye for leading such an insightful discussion. Last night, we had the honor of hosting members of 𝐕𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 & 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐕𝐌𝐄) at our studio for an amazing and heartfelt evening! The mixer was all about connecting, sharing stories, and introducing veterans to career opportunities in gaming.   Our team shared what makes Treyarch such a standout in the gaming world, while the VME members brought their passion and expertise from media and entertainment.
