It’s a big day at TRG. We are thrilled that longtime TRG principal Pete Lempert has been appointed CEO, announced by Glenn Dady today. Pete will take the helm of all agency operations from Glenn, who will retire later this month. Congratulations to Pete, and huge thanks to Glenn for leading TRG through the past five years with relentless grace. We wish Glenn all the best and are excited for Pete to lead us into the next chapter.

This week, TRG celebrates a quarter century of Christopher Owens, our head of brand strategy. The TRG strategy collective pulled together some of their favorite Owens-isms (which he will no doubt disavow authorship of, insisting that these quotes are merely derivatives of lessons passed down by ad legends). Regardless, we learned them from Christopher. “The moment we become our clients, we are no longer useful to them.” “To be an interesting person, you must be interested in other people.” “A creative brief should be two things: creative and brief.” “The best way to learn is to teach.” “Stay curious, embrace uncertainty, and run from those who claim to have it all figured out.” Thank you for 25 years and counting, Christopher.

TikTok’s algorithm is an intriguing funhouse of mirrors and windows – mirrors that make us feel seen, and windows that show us worlds previously unknown. Check out the latest from TRG’s HAWW on how TikTok satisfies our desire to both fit in and stand out. haww.xyz/windowsandmirrors

Another year celebrating brilliant work at the ADDYs! TRG proudly took home 19 trophies last night – three Gold, two Judge’s Choice Awards, one Educator of the Year Award (way to go, Christopher Owens!), and 13 silver. What an honor. Congrats to all – our clients, our partners, and our peers – for their outstanding work.

Black History Month honors the past, celebrates the present, and inspires the future. It’s a moment to recognize the profound contributions of Black individuals whose creativity, resilience, and brilliance have shaped culture, industry, and history. In celebration of BHM and in partnership with TRG Studios, we have transformed some of the TRG Studios space into a living gallery – a memorable expression of the creativity within BLK@TRG. Through drawings, paintings, poetry, fashion, music, and dance, our TRG colleagues are sharing their artistry, perspectives, and stories. The exhibit features a poem from Daylan Burgess, an art piece and original song from Katlego Mogongwa, a drawing from Terence Reynolds, and a novel by Trent Walters. Big thanks to them for sharing their talents and helping us all remember the significance of Black History Month.

Big congratulations to the one and only Terence Reynolds on his induction into the American Advertising Federation's Southwest Advertising Hall of Fame, AAF District 10. We can’t think of anyone more deserving. Terence inspires us and so many others in the community with his creativity, precision, and infectious laughter. We’re incredibly proud of you, Terence, and of all the 2025 inductees.
