About us

Tri-County Electric Cooperative , Inc. is a non-profit, membership corporation, organized in the state of Florida to engage in Rural Electrification. Established in 1940, its mission was to electrify the farms and homes of rural North Florida so that members of the electric cooperative could enjoy the quality of life and the benefits enabled by a more productive existence that could only be made possible by having access to reliable and affordable electric service. TCEC maintains 3,000 miles of power lines and provides reliable and affordable electric service to 18,000 residential, commercial, and industrial consumers in rural north Florida. We serve Madison, Taylor, Jefferson and a portion of Dixie County. With our headquarters in Madison, FL. Beyond our commitment to provide quality electric service is our commitment to our members well-being and prosperity, economic development, community enrichment, education, and health & human services. TCEC employs over 65 people and is governed by a nine member Board of Trustees, elected by the membership.

  • TCEC has an opening for a Full Time Lineman Trainee in our Madison office.  Visit www.tcec.com/careers or contact Andrew Pinkard, Human Resources Specialist, at 850-973-2285, Ext. 1217 for more information.  Apply by March 28, 2024 ----------------------------------------------------------- This position requires working outside in adverse weather conditions and frequently working overtime; however, it is a rewarding position with good growth opportunities and does not require any previous line experience. We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; however, an AA degree or higher is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a solid work history and enjoy working in a team environment. On-the-job training will be provided. The candidate must have a Class B, Commercial Driver’s License, or be able to obtain one within six months of employment.
