What a refreshing way to start the morning! ☀️ TriangleCIO member Ken Russell, PhD led an incredible discussion on "When did you become YOU?" As he wisely said, "Knowledge isn't power. SHARING knowledge is power." 💪🏼 CharlotteCIO and TriangleCIO members shared the pivotal moments that shaped their journeys—discovering their passion, their why, and ultimately, themselves. Some of the defining experiences included: ✅ Turning "no" into "yes" – persistence and resilience in the face of obstacles 🩺 Health journeys – overcoming personal challenges to find strength and purpose 🪖 Military service – leadership, discipline, and adaptability under pressure 🗺️ Travel & cultural experiences – broadening perspectives and embracing new ways of thinking 🏡 Family values & parental support – the foundation for ambition and integrity 🤔 Relentless curiosity – a drive to keep learning, questioning, and growing As Aaron Gwinner challenged us: "Are you willing to take the opportunity, or do you want to remain comfortable?" And in the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: "If you can't fly, then run. If you can't run, then walk. If you can't walk, then crawl. But whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward." These insights reshaped how we think about the paths technology leaders take.
